Against The Wall

I'm guessing these have seized over the years, but must have some decent scrap value.

How long do you suppose they've been there?
Oh I'd agree Motts, there must be a lot of recyclable parts in this room!
I'm sure someone could make a lot of money selling those for restorations, engine swaps, etc.. rediculous.
wow.. just in this picture I see around 20,000 in motors and parts.
if they run and if the transmissions are in good shape maybe more
Seized maybe...totally rebuildable...absolutely! That would be an awesome project!
u could probably crome that up and set it as a decoration piece
If these are Studebaker engines, then the Studebaker fans will grab them. They seem to keep a good eye on the happenings of the Studebaker plants and make a good effort to keep the important items.
They look to be big Diesel engines...
those are modern truck diesel engines, the compressor hanging on the one nearest supplies the air brakes
checked on a 7.3L ford diesel last week, very run of the mill engine for todays trucks....200,000 miles 2700 $ . if that cost that imagine the worth of these rare birds
those part are not there any more. the city of south bend sold them all off to a cousin of mine. Most of these buildings now are being torn down.
they could be rebuilt but meh not really worth it. Very high scrap value tho
Seems what one generation builds, the next just throws away.
Why America's history is so limited
Those are multifuel engines for military 2 1/2 & 5 ton trucks. They burn diesel fuel primarily but could run on other flammable liquids. Studebaker made military trucks during WWII and later.
