Awesome background. Love the door
no wait...this one is DEFINiTLY my favorite one!!!
This is fabulous! And I like the moon a star motiff on the door.
yet another powerful photo
Candace, I'm not sure if I like this one, or Blank Stare better. I like them both best....yea, that's it!
Certainly the best one - has a certain disturbing quality to it , given Candances' demeanour blended with the scratched walls, (not to mention the original bed used by a former patient) the image has such a gritty, stark setting which creates a scene of her in solitude and instability. On another level, her wings - symbolising an angelic quality, although seemingly challenged, have a curious interplay with the moon and stars painted on the door...
plastic sheets... creeeepy....
You'd probably have a different perspective if you had to clean mattresses that are made of material and not plastic. And you can't sterilize the other kind - you have to toss them and replace them with new ones. Given the incredibly large number of people who were sent to these places before medication was available and the small amounts of money given to institutions, most budgets didn't allow for regular mattress replacement (except in TB sanitariums).
umm was this like tooken by someone.. with someone or was this a random person?
I have to admit that this is a riveting question . . . . .
Far too riveting for me. I got a headache trying to figure it out...
Well, what I actually meant, Twug dearest, was that after I read that question I took one of those power tools that shoots metal rivets into metal beams and I shot myownself in the head with it. It seemed the kindest thing to do to my brain at that moment.
Why do I even bother asking you about your helmet if you're gonna do that!!!
It was truly the kindest thing I could think of. My brain was screaming in agony, trying to get out of my head and go slit its little wrists. I just HAD to put it out of its misery. :-(
I'm sure it was just some random person that was wandering around. It's not uncommon to come across people wearing long white dresses and angel wings along with black boots in these places. Especially ones that will pose in a lot of photos for you.

.... yes, you got me, I was being facetious. It's explained here: http://www.opacity.us/image3808.htm
Lynne, Next time try jello shots, they're not as messy as slitting your wrists nor shooting oneself, but they sure do do the job!
What was the question again? **GAAHHHH!!!** : o

(neeed....whiskey...orbs...)
Candice, you are remarkable. beautiful in everyway. excellent job doing what you do
Amazing Amazing Amazing Amazing shot! That's all I can say...I'm speechless! Beautiful!
Cupid, you must think that one day or one millinium in the future that this pic will come back to haunt you. It is already haunting me and you decided to become a part of the past and the darkness that you have chosen to become a part of. You have chosen to become one of us.
I don't like this one, its much too familliar feeling.
Its like someones in my head, and i dont like it.
