I thought this girl looked familiar! :-)
<3 your work.
I do believe that everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion and should not be afraid to say so, Kudos Man, you stuck straight to your heart even know it may have caused some un pleasant feelings, Good Lad
Now be honest, if you were exploring the halls of Northampton alone at night, rounded a corner and there she was standing there looking exactly like that?
Could your UR heart stand that jolt? I'd more than likely leave a deposit in the skiffies, run like a true madman and never enter one of these places again-----at least voluntarily!
Observation: Cool stuff - but I think you increased your risk level. Being caught trespassing, if you are, is one thing. Being caught trespassing with a compound bow complete with arrows yet another.
I am thinking that if they find him with a young woman dressed up in angel wings with black army boots who is bedaubed with fake blood, they are more likely going to take them on a sidetrip to Bellevue Psychiatric before they see the inside of a police station. However, I believe this to be Motts' true plan so he can sneak in a hidden camera and take pix from the inside of Bellevue.
Just a random stray thought.
John - I chose most of the poses, although I wasn't all too sure on what to have her do exactly in some shots. Yes bringing a bow into here was most definitely a concern, and extra precautionary measures were taken to avoid problems, although the arrows did not have heads on them... that would be a very bad idea!
we would love to come out on vacation and see some of these places.
you have my email.
thanks.
This sorta has ''mtv2'' fake m*tal written all over it.
This whole ''I am depressed, because hot topic told me so'' is such a joke!
Only in 2006 AMERIKWA could depression be a ''hip'' thing, screw these people for mocking depression, depression is not something that you can fake!
REAL METAL WILL ALWAYS BURRY 'this 'emo'' crap !!!
In memory of Bethlehem's-Dark Metal!!!!! in memory of the past...
''FROM THR PAST COMES THE STORMS''
Thanks for the honest opinion, but first off, you're talking to a metal drummer. I know and play with the NYC/Brooklyn metal crowd, you're barking up the wrong tree.
#2, Music has nothing to do with this set, it's about the breakdown of a deity. I did the best I could with what I had.
#3, I stated that this set did not have anything to do with real psychiatric illnesses or problems, or the hospital in any way.

Take a nerve pill and respect the art. Mott's does a hella wonderful job on the pictures he provides for us. Go Mott's.
Whoops
Fecking typo gnomes.
Are you aware that many German Americans built these beautiful structures? its amazing the talent we have!
Do you like CARNIVORE? the ultimate NEW YORK speed/doom metal trio from the 80's! that is how I will test if you are metal or not! CRO-MAS as well!
''WERE GOING TO A RACE WAR..''-CARNIVORE
...And listen to BEHERIT and BETHLEHEM(Germnay)!!!
Oh, by the way, Deafangel used a lot of my info on here, most what she put happened to me and not her. Gee. she not know what means "Mentally impaired" as she never had a mental problem in her 26 years. She pretended to be me. Gee, talking about mistakin identity. Well, here I am and I am going to tour this site of Mr. Motts and relish every bit of it!!
I suffer from severe anxiety disorder and also major depression. I also have PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). I may be wrong how pronouce that.
Hail to NY
I'm thinking it would make a good Nightwish album cover... ^^
The whole picture is very nice, and the name is very appropriate.
Nice bow by the way =)
Mr. Motts, you are a great photographer. I will go as far as saying you are genius for your work. I love how you capture the beauty and memories of these old structures. But please, please don't desecrate them by photographing such commodities: Some "goth" chick, fake wings and a crossbow?
You're better than that.
Call me old-fashioned but it's almost sacrelidge what you did with this shoot. I mean no offense but please promise never to do something like this again.
My only reservation about this line of photography is that the subject appears "too new" and crisp. Kind of like using a white plastic belt in an old western movie. I'm no camera exoert by any means, so I really hope you're not offended by this. I think the compositions might work better is the subject were less 3-d or crisp and new. If she were more transparent or indicated by delayed shutter speed or off focus. Kind of like the photos you took with the light
traces where you leave shutter open..I think...I don't know..
Once again..please don't be offended. I love your work. I think it's great that you're branching out.
Morgana - I had an idea and unfortunately these commodities were the only way I could convey it. I was not entirely happy with them either but it was all I could use with the limited time, money, and resources I had. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy these, all further models will most likely be placed in a different section of the website.
kathyd - I wished the shots would've looked more timeless, unfortunately I could not access an older model bow (they aren't very popular in NYC). Thank you for your input and suggestions.
I don't think it matters what anyone else thinks. If trying new things with your photography makes you happy you should do it. Life is too short. I respect you for trying new things. You will never be able to please everyone. So keep up the good work.
It all seems a bit too cliche. You know, the fallen angel/cupid, now prowling about abandoned corridors with a vengence.
I really do like the idea of adding a model, but I suppose I would just prefer someone a bit less done up.
You da man!!
