The somber lighting really makes the shot.
I agree Lynne. And I must say, it was rather weird going from thinking of someone lying in an iron lung to someone lying in one of these!
Yes Jude, a thought to ponder..
Hey Awyper, good to see you!
i want to lie in one of thoses things just to say i have
careful what choo wish for...
Brilliant! I never thought that a photo like this could be taken without the photographer becoming afraid. Kudos! I wonder, just how many people where stored there???
Wow I would be TERRIFIED to go in there...hope you had some company, who were alive!
This photographer has some balls.
Yes - a good photographer HAS balls.
wow, I almost spilled my cream soda when I figured out what this was... Mr. Motts, you are truely my hero!
From inside an iron lung to the deep freeze of the morgue......took me a moment to adjust!
Its always been strange to me that they actually freeze the bodies.
It seems so...dehumanizing.
The bodies were refrigerated, not frozen. My title was just a bit creative...
oh i see. I would also like to be in one just to say I have. This is nice...come home from school to this great site and look at some pics with some coka cola and a blanky! i love coming home!
Motts, depending on location, they can be refrigerated or brought to below freezing temperature to keep everything intact. been to the morgue with my dad in Dayton, Ohio and when we got the body, just freezing cold air came out. i asked the lady in charge and she told me that the inside temp is 39F.
Just think of the dead bodies once stored in there! If there are any left behind corpses in there, proudly notify me!
