I think this is my favorite stair shot! It has beautiful lighting and color and it leads...somewhere!
Pleasantly somber. :-)
"where do these stairs go?" "They go up"

Ghoastbusters - 1984
Ghost... spelling....
Are you sure you weren't trying to say "toastbusters"?
Goatbusters. :)
I swear, I've never seen that goat before in my life! (Switches to Bill Clinton voice) Aaah did nawt have sexual relations with that goat...
A stairway shot!! And a great one too! Looks fairly clean in this area.
Wild greens and greys...great shot, Motts!!!
"We sleep by the ever-bright hole
At the door.
Eat in the corners,
Talk to the floors.
Teaching the spider's tongue
to say "Please".
Politely they bend at the knees.
Well, I'll go to the foot of our stairs!"
-- A Passion Play, Jethro Tull

A Note: Ironically, "Well, I'll go to the foot of our stairs" is one of the (apparent) British equivalents of "Well, I'll be damned".
Fitting, isn't it?
This frightens me. All those childhood dreams are coming back to me now... thanks alot, Motts.
Btw, nice poem, Kassie. Fits in lovely.
Motts, is that an archway with a window?
Yep, it's interesting how all the curves meet together on the right side like that.
Thanks, its reminding me of that video on ElPeecho's website, with the Pink Floyd music in the background.
haha roastbusters. idk u guys took all the good ones.lol.
To the right of the stairs, could that possibly be a large arched window?
wow that place is amzing¡¡is so surealistic¡¡
it's scary at the same time ..i would like to go there...

I really really dont like stairs that turns like this one. u never know whats behind the corner... *creepy*
perhaps it is the curve, or simply the railing, but these stairs, very simple invention, have more DEPTH to them than my wee brain can comprehend
motts you never know what might be around the corner. It could be the one and only CHAIR coming back for you. awesome picture Motts
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The perfect combination of hope and dread. Your photo captures all of those emotions.
hmm... when I was in the nuthouse, I threw myself down the stairs they had in the ward they had initially put me in- needless to say I got put in the secure ward. Wah! In the secure ward, there was a black market in shards of glass... this shot just brought up memories : )
I love this shot it leaves you wanting to see what's around the corner
How they designed & built, Old-school FTW! Hand -rails on both sides curving so nicely; and that perfect window to give light, and to catch a glimpse of the world outside. Like this so very much! It is perfect.
