Thank-you, Motts!
What a wonderfully wonderful lone chair it is!
one of my favorite lonely chair shots!!!!
looks like its getting ready to make its escape.
Ah yes, that IS a great lonely chair shot!
ahhhh, still watching and keeping guard....
I enjoy this shot very much.
I'm not quite sure why, if it's just the colours, or the fact that this place seems untouched by graffiti...just natural causes of rot...or the colours in these shots, but I must admit that this gallery has been your most relaxing and calming so far, Mr. Motts. I never cease to be impressed.
These pictures just feel very much...like I'm at home or something. They are very soothing. Love them.
They're always running late, those shrinks! What that chair needs is a skeleton holding a copy of Life magazine from 1949!
The magazine I got. Now all we need is a skeleton.
Very reminiscent of "Session 9"....
Is that a coffee table in the background??
There's something mystical about chairs...maybe because they've got a big history in them...someone famous could've sat on any one of Motts' chair shots...Or someone equally insane.
good point to ponder..
Maybe there is a sad ghost in that chair, waiting for the souls of those who have gone on to return, but alas, nevermore, nevermore!
LOOK INTO THE LIGHT!
When the day is done,
And all is quiet and still...
Sit and dream to fly!

I love Haiku's! Guys, this is so fun! :0)
waiting! waiting for you in my chair of blue, come and take me from this place my lover true and forever more I will always love you!
waiting...wainting...wainting..waiting for an angel to take me on his wings and bring me back to life...
it looks likew the lonley chair is wacthing tv
It's almost as if the chair is watching itself and its surroundings age, so slowly, yet steadily. Like it wants to escape so bad, but it cannot. Maybe that's how the patients felt...
Waiting for what, Godot? Or a good case of lead poisoning? If you look closely, you can see the wainscotting -- quite beautiful!
This means so much 2 me.
Another thought,
She sits in the chair waiting for her sister, who told her she was comming soon. The doctor tells her it won't be long till your free and on your own. Her nerves get her and a scream escapes her lips, and another year she'll have in her own created bliss.

Session 9...Session 9...Session 9...Session 9...Session 9...Session 9...Session 9...Session 9...Session 9...Session 9...Session 9...Session 9...Session 9........WOAH!! That is SCARY!! It is almost the SAME photo from the "Session 9" movie!!!
''the school of the Right Living''

this one really comes in mind!
Creepy. Makes me want to grab a pencil and sketch it in black & white. But as if the place closed yesterday.
the back legs of the chair seem to be extended back..possibly prevently a mishap.....
once again motts beautiful picture
Looks like that chair is trying to catch some "rays." Great shot!
Once again this is Breathtaking picture.
Forlorn
I grew up playing in this building back when the school was open. Words cannot describe its former beauty. What a waste.
i haveta say ... so far of all your "lonely chairs" (as everyone seems to call them), this is my fav.
Only the Lonely...
Tomorrow comes, tomorrow goes...I'm still waiting, on my toes

A touch of depth lol
just gettin a peice of mind
Its so cool!
I luv this one. It's as if I can still see the sleepy night shift nurse there........
Looks like the chair is going to make a break for it...

This is so sad...poor lonely chair needs that other chair (the one that is falling apart) for company!
It really does look like it's waiting for someone
Somebody's last 1 to 1.
