The brickwork in these arches was interesting.

How thick is that layer of debris on the floor? It almost appears organic! Absolutely fascinating pictures so far Motts!
WOWZA!
I love the fact that this shot is timeless. The building could be 1,000 years old or 50 years old.
I wonder what that is wrapped around the bottom part of the wall. It almost looks like a ribbon.
The shelf would make a great shot by it's self.
Great shot.
Anna, that band is a chair rail, it is supposed to prevent the tops of chairs from damaging the wall, i have noticed these ( or their shadows ) in several other photos in this gallery.
That floor is amazing, it looks like it could be the surace of the moon...
I can't help but be fascinated by the floor too! LOL
And Anna, do you mean the wide chair rail, or the narrow pipe closer to the bottom? I think it's a pipe....
Hey Jude, the pipe just above the floor is electrical conduit, there is another piece hanging down by the risht side of the doorway, with two wires expossed, probably from a light fixture.
Ah okay, thanks psycadellic one!
What the, the floor looks like the ground of the moon... ( i just seen Barbara made that comment too )
This place seems to be full of archways. Neeto.
THESE ROOMS APPEAR MEDIEVEL.
THis is one of the best ones so far, wonderfully taken!
A direct hit on my pleasure nerve.
The rack and reunion of days gone by. The shadows and images still exsist in that strange place. Who said that the past doesn.t influence the future.
i love all these archways
I love the lonely shelf with the light spilling onto it. Great shot Motts. I love your work!
All alone, or in twos,
The ones who really know you,
Walk up and down outside the wall.
Some hand in hand,
Some gather together in bands,
The bleeding hearts and artists,
Make their stand.
And when theyve given you their all,
Some stagger and fall.
After all its not easy,
Banging your heart against some mad buggers wall.
This shot's a knockout. As these buildings melt down, they reveal so many new layers. So many layers of information added by Motts as well. I'm listening to Harold budd as I scroll through these...and It's beyond riveting.
Back to the dust of the earth from whence it came.
Motts, Love the inspiration on this site. You are a muse too...

'Banging your heart against some mad buggers wall.'
right?!!!
thank you for the share, danb
Timeless...ancient and mysterious...but the arch is dooming and so heavy.................an asylum...but it could be a castle or a church. Good pictures you take! Be well.
