Plank

Plank

This plank of wood was oddly resting on the window pane, it looked like it was balanced on end from a few angles.

I love this archway. This must have been a beautiful room back in the day.
I would love to have a time machine and visit some of these places while they were still a beehive of activity.
Top ten! Top ten!
Love this shot. It's got a strange sort of distortion to it. Wide angle lense?
love the arch !!
What a beautiful arch, and room to go with it. I can only imagine how beautiful it was back in the day.
I look at this picture and get a free feeling, it's kinda calming.
Wow, this is a beautiful room! It looks large too, or is that deceiving?
Great shot Mr Motts. You're right, from a distance the plank does look like it's free-standing on end on its own. Kinda defies gravity...... do you know offhand what this building is going to be after being renovated?
It's a decent sized room... I don't know what the building will be used as after renovation, it will still be on the psych center property.
That does look balanced on end somehow. Nice shot!
really nice shots man, totally loving this one in particular :D
Nice , verrrry, nice
LOL, it looks like the plank is floating in mid-air.
yes, it does
Easily top 5 for me. I want a huge print of this above my bed! Fantastic.
this is a nice shot, looks like the plank defies gravity!
i bet that was a nice room when people were there.
It really was, potted plants, rocking chairs, and maybe a grand piano... it's tough to imagine with the place as it is now.
Where we once danced
is now broken and decayed
what a crying shame
Its my best friend plank.
This room reminds me of The Hobbit.
The archway frames the image wonderfully. The way the plank is ballanced is oddly peaceful. Great image.
The archway presenting the outside world would be worthy of an eighteenth century drawing room. Very ethetic.
Absolutely gorgeous!
love the arch.. love it for real
that floor looks weird. like all bumpy or like there were rocks scattered onto it.
Johnnsy, I'm guessing (I may be wrong) that the floor is actually covered with the ceiling and walls... It looks like the ceiling has fallen down and rotted onto the floor, combined with some of the chunks of wall...
Great capture of an amazing archway and one lonely plank's effort to find balance among the decay!
nice one Motts!!!
Great shot. With the arch framing the photo, it almost looks like you used forced perspective
This would make a great wallpaper.
Great shot, very mind-bending! :)
SHIVER ME TIMBERS
i agree must have been beautiful back then, i think it cool how the board seems to have stoped in mid fall judging by the end on the floor
Oooh...the floor DOES look weird...almost SPONGY!

Loving this picture!!!!!!
Stunning. Absolutely stunning.
