SOME-body is in time out. ;-)
You've been a BAD CHAIR! Go sit in the corner!!
I thought the same thing Lynne. .:)
BAD CASPER,BAD CASPER
I guess the chair was behaving inappropiately!
I am amused Mr. Motts. that you photographed this picture. Patients would quite often sit facing a corner because it helped them feel as though they had some privacy, or in rare cases simply to spite the doctors and guards.
can i use this for a record cover? its freaking amazing.
now go to lala land and think about what you've done
It would also help relax some patients because of the lack of stimulii on the walls.
bad ghost bad bad ghost have a time out!
well i guess they were reallii badd to have a chair in the corner
what about the stain on the ceiling, above the chair...could that mean something or is it coincidence?
First thought, Blair Witch.
This image looks sad, and lonely.
It felt as it no one cared for the person or people that once inhabited that chair.
The chair just give the photo such life, not just for the color, that m.f. chair is alive!!!
Thats where they send me.....

Blair Witch! What an increadble waste of magnetic tape. they would have got better footage if they had duct tapped the camera to the back of a garbage truck.

Ok, think thats out of my system, back to my corner...
That's an interesting shot. Gives this room some character. I didn't care for the Blair Witch either.
Patrick, i spit beer on my comuter moniter when i read that bit about the garbage truck, soo funny!
oh how sad!
Bad Orange Chair!!! haha Go sit in the Corner
I always find it amazing, the random chairs in abandoned buildings. It's almost as if the building is reliving its previous inhabitants.
Viewed this site forever but first time comment.. What I find interesting about this building is the set in radiators! For the age of the building I find this feature very interesting and after looking at other facilities this appears to be somewhat rare. Not only does it make occupants less likely to get burned but increases room size and decreases visable piping. I would think the lining of brick would also help radiate the heat further!
So far one of my favorite shots on your site Sir Motts!
Funny I seen the same thing at Belchertown State School.
that chair creeps me out i see it all the time i used to see one outside and it was scaryyy
suggests the trapped feeling of the patients possibly?
