Caption Motts "Full speed ahead" .
Ooooh, the pirate theme already! Lynne where's your derby dear, and have you seen Mr. Depp anywhere?
Jude, last I saw you still had him with you at Dixmont Hospital. Did you go and lose the child, now?
Aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrr, ye asshats!
Aaaarrrgggghhhhh back at ye, ye keelhauled landlubbin' asshat! :-)
Seriously, "asshat" is a new word in my vocabulary thanks to you! But I don't mind, I needed some new words! Oh yes, Jude did not lose Johnny, he was with ME the whole time! harharhar
Well, as long as he is with one of us, we're in pretty good shape. Does he still have his derby with him?
Brings whole new light to the term "He was a captain of industry."

Yep ... my word for the night is "industry" and all forms thereof. Eh ... I'm tired.
I am the captain and this is my shrine.
Lord of the manor. See what I leave behind.
River in flames, cities on fire.
Yes, I'm a relic trapped in the wire.

Hydrogen fuel, it burns so clean,
throbs in the veins; a mother lovin' machine.
She is my wife. Her mechanical heart
constantly serving 'til death do us part.

Now a glorious war draws to a close.
The yellow winds blow. And I have to know.
Oh industry, whatever will become of me?
Soon the cruel rains will start.
Is it true we must part company?
Oh industry, whatever will become of me?
What have I ever done?
Where did I go wrong?

Joined at the hip; pain, hunger and I,
leave our gift to the world 'neath the phosphorous sky.
A labor of love is the truest of all.
But will I be forsaken after the fall?

Now a glorious war draws to a close.
The yellow winds blow. And I have to know.
Oh industry, whatever will become of me?
Nothing after the flood but the fire and the mud's prophecy.
Oh industry, whatever will become of me?
Of me?

Industry, charity, faith, hope.
Industry, charity, faith, hope.
Industry, charity, faith, hope.
Industry, charity, faith, hope.
Industry, charity, faith, hope . . .

Ok...what movie is this from? And it fits so well, me thinks!
Beaches- Bette Middler
What Lyric said. Song's called "Oh, Industry."
DING DING DING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WEEE HAAVVEE A WINNNNNEEERRR!
Doesn't it fit? I think so! I love Beaches and I love, love, love, love Bette Midler more!
Very appropriate for this gallery, Bri.

Well ... we're off to bed, Lyric & I. Don't forget there is an extention to Mr. Mott's commentaries over at:

Hope to see you all there ... soon ... and help take a bite out of Mr. Mott's post scanning duties. ;-)

actuly, that handwheel would control the throttle valve, controling the steam entering the turbine, thus controling speed, thus controling electrical output of the generator. sorry , thought i'd throw that in.
Thanks josh, always appreciate the info on how this stuff works!
Now where have I heard asshats from?
It's the sound of the steam rattling around at a highspeed that would cause someone t o spin that thing like a sea captain against a hurricane.
