That's one HUGE building!
Yes it sure is.......I bet it was awfully darn noisy in there too.

Earplugs, anyone?
What? Speak up - I can't hear you! Wait, I need to take these damned earplugs out. >:-(

Now, what did you say, darlin'? :-)
The high ceilings and the glass remind me of a cathedral ... then with the machinery in the limelight ... might it be a "Church of Industry?"

Hesphestus (sp?) would weep tears of joy in this place.
I have to say that I am constantly amazed by the design of some of these older industrial buildings. In a modern era where buildings are chrome, steel, concrete, and soulless - to see something as mundane as a power plant, with this much beautiful design is awesome. It's like a church of technology (albeit old, old technology).
I love the way they made industrial buildings even look majestic. Greetings to the "Kindered".
I agree awyper, I love that about the old industrialist builders. Everything had to have some class!
true, todays buildings just dont have the same "umph"
Very pretty. Makes me wonder how the one in my town used to look.
Reminds me of a trainstation near my neighborhood, especially the curved ceiling and windows.
holy cow! great colors, i love your prespective.
This view looks nice and not at all creepy.
When musicians die, they leave their music. This rusting equipment and your very nice photos are all that's left of the life's work of countless engineers who will never be remembered for their "masterpiece."
One word: "Siberia". I mean the game.
It must of been hot when that turbine was in operation. I wonder if there is traces of sweat of the people who worked there.
I wonder what it was like working here-probably very noisy.
i'm drawn to this place and I don't know why -I keep revisiting this picture for some dam reason and I just don't get it ! maybe I should go there - --lost
