These shots are from when the sky was clear... quite a difference!

There are vines in the shot because I was kneeling down in the brush for the photo and didn't think to move them.

I like the vines there. It lends to the neglected emotions of the building.
This shot is cool because the stars give the feeling that the world is moving on by while the hospital has been left behind.
I agree with both of ya's. The vines make it look like the earth itself is looking up, and watching the world go by, as the hospital slowly decays...
The world has moved on, a Dark Tower reference?
uuuuuuuu I love the Dark Tower series.
Nope, no reference...I haven't even read the series.
Dark Tower, a great series
I love the way the stars are 'moving' too.....is that to do with shutter speed or something to that effect Motts?
Yes, long exposures show the rotation of the earth in star trails.
I've seen this in other pictures here. I first thought they were raindrops.
Thank you Motts. I really do love that effect!
This shot is great. It reminds me a ride I used to go on at the jersey shore called the Haunted Manor
I love Stephen King! That's where I got the "This is how the world ends" quote. (See: Dixmont, Departure, Rows of Rooms). I don't feel like writing it out. :-)
No, problem Ron.
This picture looks creepy.
This could be a nice house if you are into that kind of thing and you don't mind the dead people....lol
I don't mind dead people much. It's the living ones that bug me. Besides I don't think they usually leave dead people lying around.
I have a deal with dead people. They leave me alone, I leave them alone. Hey ... it's worked so far.

Seriously, though ... "haunted" buildings are more the product of an over-active imagination than a truly paranormal event. I'm not denying "ghosts" exsist, but c'mon ... they're more memories than anything else.
Yep,after a while those dead people would start to smell, plus the hassle of stepping over them all the time. I agree with Serrena, leave dead people alone, and they probably won't bother you either.
yepperz
This almost looks more like a painting or a drawing done with pastels than it does a photograph. It's beautiful in its menacing desolation.
I love this shot, the stars are really cool and I think the vines really add somethintg to the picture. :)
