I like the three layers through the window. It add an interesting perspective, and confuses the eye a bit.
The smooth ceiling directly overhead is puzzling me
Neon black tanks grope the skyline. Devistater violates with dirty fingers. Beautiful work, it reminds me of some secret headquarters in the underbelly of the Soviet Union.
Laughing faces, look! The buildings through the center and right windows have some personality. The center is the Cheshire Cat, and the scene from the righthand window is a laughing building. Do they know something?
Me too, Grifspop. I noticed that right away. What is that, Motts, do you know?
I'm not sure, a few parts of the hospital were not peeling like the others (like around the insides of the doors in the rooms), it might have been a different type of paint used combined with a low exposure to the elements.
The more I look at it, the more it reflects exactly like it's glass of some sort.
The reflection is from the plastic cover of a flourescent light fixture. The appearant smoothness of that section of ceiling may be from the lack of paint. Many sections of the building, particularly those exposed to a lot of moisture from the leaking roof, have already lost all their paint and all that is left is the bare plaster. Some parts of the ceilings have even lost the plaster and all that remains is the steel structure and subflooring from the floor above. The building really has fallen into terrible shape.
Wonder how many people went to that window Just to recompose themselves??
