Motts, what is that pile of stuff in the middle of the floor? Bird droppings?
Looks almost like it was swept up into a pile... Motts, are you cleaning up again?
I'm not sure what that is...
Check the bottom of your boot lol....
Directly above the pile there's a light fixture above the arch; it's shadowed, but I bet there's a bird's nest built up there. So, I cast my vote for bird poop.
Yes, Bird Poop, or dry leaves, or rodent poop..
Light fixture???? Could it be "soap droppings"?
Fantastic shot!
Soap droppings!!! Tony, yer killin' me!
soap droppings. hee hee ha ha, you are a trip
Good one, Tony!
Oh My! I LOVE those arches!
Geez Motts do you ever get tired of us always saying "great shot!" ? This truly is, man this is a beautiful old building.
Y'all excuse how I write, my word structure and spelling, as I am profound deaf. However, where I live, deep in the southwest of Georgia, we have bats that would inhabit old adandoned buildings, and wondering if maybe Motts or any other have ever ran up on bats hanging from the ceilings. Just wondering. That pile of stiff in middle of floor looks lik bat droppings.
I haven't seen as many as I thought I would, perhaps they aren't as common in New England. This place was full of them though: http://www.opacity.us/...r_state_hospital.htm
besides the utility fixtures, this could be
from many centuries ago in some other
faraway place
Soap dropings, I LOVE IT. What do these Birds eat??? SOAP????
It could possibly be some sort of remnants of an explosion or as you said bird crap
im gonna say its neither soap droppins or bird poo and just say that someone or something may have just swept up a little pile of something.
after working at a nature reserve in north park for 8 years i'm going to say it's something like a barn swallow or cliff swallow..they make nests like that and their droppings are directly below the nest.
