I can think of no appropriate words for this shot. Are those mirrors in that room, or a window?
Looks like those glass cube blocks, but it's probably just a window with a lot of smaller panes.
It's those glass cubes... this area was renovated or added onto the original Kirkbride - the doors in other sections were all wood.
Thank you one and all!
I have nothing to say, all my questions were answered. :o)
incendiary
What light yonder metal door breaks?
I can still remember the horrible sound of the metal doors when they closed. A bang like you wouldnt beleav. On top of all the other sounds in the building when it was open, it's a wonder I didn't fall in to a madness of my own.
Brad....
Are you sure about that? ;)
Who wants to get locked up in that room first?.... anybody???
Brad, you are a font of knowledge about Danvers. You should write a book -- or has someone else already suggested that?
You ought to hear what it sounds like ,when you have to have some one open up one of those doors with a crow bar at 2:00 AM, after you've locked some one in the room and the lock broke.
Well... duh.
these are such beautiful pictures i would absolutely LOVE to visit one time!!
Don't wana know what's lurkin' behind the other side!!
fresh flicks motts!!!!!!
That doorway looks really creepy, I would want to be there late at night! :)
does anyone see a white dress in the mirror to the left
it looks like a aperition of a nurse that was beat to death in the mirror to the left
I really like this shot, and the one before it as well.
looks more like a reflection of someone wearing a hat!
hay q ser muy valiente para entrar ahi!
This is really quite chilling...

And i'd just like to say thank you.
I rented the book "Project 17" from my high school library a few weeks ago, and ever since i've been entranced by this place. Your work has really helped me appriciate this place more. It's really a shame i'll never get to see it.
I think several of us have been led here by that book... Creepily facinating... Heavy on the creepy
