Well, of course! ;-)

But I would sure enjoy having one like it.
Oooh that fireplace is beautiful!
Oh my god, that's beautiful.
Another complete great fireplace. Look at the tile on the floor. Looks to be stenciled and not carved. Probably $8K-10K on the market.
Gorgeous fireplace! Thanks Motts!
That is awesome!
WOW THAT FIREPLACE HAS SERVIVED ALL THESE YEARS. GREAT EXAMPLE OF VICTORIAN WORK. LOVE IT!!!
Noice!
beautiful!
I would expect it to be in the warden's office. Beautiful fireplace.
Incredibly beautiful. I imagine that nicely set off the office when it was in it's prime. I can picture those hardwood floors all shined up... The trim awould the kickboards and doors was probably unpainted and stained....wow...
ok that's too cool.
how could it be there and new without anyone stilling it?
Amazing
is it wood or stone?
I believe it was wood.
The black laquer finish is called japaning, it must have been a beautiful sight against that wood floor when it was new, It is in such amazingly good condition still, i just hope somebody preserves this one.
oooooh, i do just love fireplaces!!!
And they left that beautiful architecture behind? How awful if that gets destroyed.
i'll buy it what is the latest bid
I can,t believe the great shape it,s in
This belonged to the biggest inmate.

I like the way Motts shoots things the way they were, and doesn't disturb anything. Very cool.

Now what is that? A lazy susan on the hearth?
Very nice.
Wow...That's amazing.
that is the best fireplace i have ever seen!!
there was really no warden, there was the sherriff of hampden county who ran the jail but did not stay in the "sherriffs house".
They used this place for work release and day reporting inmaes.
One of the offices maybe under sherrif or majors.
Wow. They better have taken that out somehow before they demo'd the place.
