Green And Blue

I'm not sure what the different colors painted on the walls meant.

i want 2 no how many cells r their
Great colours!
Different colors usually designate a different cell block or wing. These tend to hold a different type of criminal haha My friend who works in the MA prison system just informed me of that.
I can visualise the warden walking down the endless rows of cells, jangling his keys and banking on the bars with his nightstick. "Lights out!"

... of course I speak from having seen too many prison films, not personal experience ;-)
of course, Rich, we hear ya.
Everything looks like just built.
I visited a prison museum that was built at about the same time in Rawlins, WY. It also had different colors on the walls and different sized cells. The tour guide explained that some of these differences could be attributed to expansion/newer construction. My first hand account is that I would as soon die as live like that. The smell of urine was everywhere and the dank chilly darkness was depressing as hell.
Really really great picture.
I WANNA GO IN
Reminds me off the El (elevated train) for some reason.
The great angle of this shot reminds me of endless desolation.......the cells seem to go on forever....
the different colors were of no signifigance, they were painted like this because thats what they had for paint.
1st tier looking at the cat walk to the annex where the hole and hospital were.
I was in cell 36 . 2 tier.
Funky lime paint.
