I wanna t-shirt from this place!!!
Backy, check the link Motts provided with the description...there was something about a t-shirt on there....
Yes it looks awfully trashed even from the outside.
Sorry, I don't see this link anywhere. I looked several places.
Backy, if you look at Motts' description page (right before clicking on the gallery), look toward the bottom of the description and click on the line that has "auction prices" on it.
Sorry, I've been through several pages, and don't see no 'auction prices' link.
Clicking on the "Rocky Point Amusement" link at the top of this page will bring you to the location overview, which has history and links... here's the url: http://www.opacity.us/site58.htm
OK. I got in. I enjoyed the jingle. Nice pictures too.
Great link wasn't it Puddleboy? I enjoyed the music too, how nostalgic!!
Oh, the carasoul animal are here! http://www.joenisil.co...chure/auction04c.jpg
LOVE those carousel animals!
At a glance i thought that sign said "Wet Shirts"...i was wondering what kind of Amusement Park this is >: )
These pics brought back alot of memories, Motts!
Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
...bad, bad LIVE >;-)
OK, so I'm a Brit, but the Rocky Point jingle made even myself feel a funny kind of nostalgic type emotion!
I've never been to Rocky Point, nor had I ever heard of it until Motts posted this gallery, but I still enjoyed the jingle. It had a warm and friendly sound to it, that made Rocky Point sound like fun.
BritChick, Ever been to Blackpool? I bought some things in a shop like this there. Maybe that is why you feel the nostalgic feel too.
The voice narrating the end of the Rocky Point Jingle is an old friend of mine. He was the host of the AFTERHOURS SHOW on 990 WALE AM in Providence, R.I. I made a few guest spots on that program back in 1991. That Jingle played for years on that radio station and on local TV there.
I can remember the sign was lite with orange and blue bulbs and the ROCKY use to flash. You could get any tacky souviner in here from t-shirts to giant pencils.

I still have my bumper sticker and mug from here.

GOD I MISS ROCKY POINT!
That makes two of us Joe.

WE WANT OUR ROCKY POINT BACK!
I miss Rocky Point I was only like 6 when it closed thoses mean guys didnt pay their taxes
I still have a set of Salt & Pepper shakers from that gift shop! L-O-L!
I actullay have a few staff shirts and old tickets and tokens, that I found when a few of us amusement park freaks decided to try and open it up as a Halloween attraction, back in 1998. But alas the fire dept, and town were determined to keep it closed, and found every reason to bust our walnuts.
ththey need to put something there for fun a water park or something very bored
Jim M Jr-I don't know if you saw any of my posts conversing w/ John Black, but I've got several questions regarding Halloweenland.
That sign that says "Rocky" fell down and you can get the bulbs out of it. Plus..see the grass in the cracks, it's like waist high.
The best part about this sign is that you can get "caps!" "sweatshirts!" "T-Shirts!" and "Cigarettes!"

So random.
DO YOU THINK THEY HAVE PAYPAL?
I think this used to be the bingo hall. The sign, Below ROCKY, used to be flashing numbers, resembling a bingo card.
it was the game facination. the players would roll small rubber balls up wooden ramps from a sitting position. the balls would fall thru one of 24 holes at the top of the ramp that were lined up in rows forming a grid. each hole had its own value. whoever got a block or a full row in his grid first would win the round. the value of the winning holes were added up which determined the value of the prize to be given out.
did u go inside the gift shop?
I wish they would not just leave these places and all the stuff in them. The stuff may be still usable if it was not just leaft there to rot.
I want everything from the gift shop!!!!!!
@Ron-Where is the carousel now? I wanna ride it!!!!!
@Motts-I saw that site. It's so cool!!! Nice pictures, and catchy jingle, too!!!!

Question: Is the color of the sky blue or green?
