Eat at Motts!
**unable to think of how to re-phrase that, gives up and walks away...** ;-)
I'll betcha that arrow looked pretty at night. Most likely it was lit up all in 'happy colours'
I think so too Puddleboy, and the lights were probably the blinking ones that "moved" down to the arrow tip.
This is the most interesting of the photos, in my opinion. The sky and the way the vertical and diagonal work together is nice.
Hold on. Isn't there an apple sauce company called Mott's? You've probably heard that before. Yeah, whatever (walks away in stupidity).
Oh Ron, you are so sweet!
Ron, your a trip!!!!
Isn't that the golden Q that Quagmire wore around his neck in the lastest episode or shaved on his um... ...you know!
AWSOME VINTAGE SIGN!
Awww, thanks you guys.(blushes slightly)
LOVE this sign!!! They just don't make em like this anymore!!!
This was the "Redemption Center" where you would redeem all the tickets you won for merchandise.
PEB is right, this was the redemption center and there would always be screaming kids wanting to get useless prizes for their tickets.

I believe there was a gift shop on the side of this. I got my Rocky Point bumper sticker from here and I still have it (wow i am a GEEK!)
AWESOME PHOTO!!!!!!! Wonder how many ligths was in that place???So many fuse...???
someone needs to go steal/save that sign. You could sell it where I live for a thousand bucks.
Its beutiful
Yes this is the Redemtion Center! This is where I worked as a child in the 70's. I was the last in the family to work at the park-we lived through the parking lot--through a path--then through the beach houses. I have three older brothers. I was only allowed to work at the park because of the Redemtion Center. This was the home of Mama Leake & Uncle Charlie! They ran the show! She called me foxy lady and I was the one behind the counter handing out toys to all the screaming kids! So wish I could do it again :(
they should open rocky point back up
well i mean rebuild it
(this way to you doom ) uuuumm....... i mean lovely(blushes slightly
Disturbingly looks like an uncoiling snake
absolutely BEAUTIFUL and AMAZING. We should remember as a culture that these erosions remind us of our temporality and thus humility as human beings

Looks like all, or almost all of the light bulbs are broken. Those signs used a whole bunch of low-wattage bulbs, about 7-10 watts per bulb, but when there are that many of them together you get a nice bright effect. The "movement" system was based on relay mechanisms inside the metal shell. When this type of sign is on you can actually hear the relays clicking inside to make the lights appear to move in the direction of the arrow. This sign appears to be from the late 30s-early 50s. It also appears to be restorable. The electronics would all have to be replaced with UL standards of today.
Best Clam Chowder I ever had .
All gone to decay, all lost, the people forgotten, robbed of their dreams, their dignity, hope.Shunned by the supposely healthy.I cry for those who closed their hearts to them.
