I am currently awaiting the soap dispenser remarks with much anticipation...
I am muzzled so I can not comment on soap dispenser nor lights.
Without a doubt, the most BEAUTIFUL soap despenser I have EVER seen.

;)
Sure as heck looks like a soap dispenser to me. Mebbe I need new glasses . . .
...pointing to the depths of....
this is a beatiful soap dispenser (~Me as been muzzeled long enough!!)
Ed, so you are saying we should un-muzzle the girl and un-leash her as well? Is the world ready for this? Or is she perhaps ENJOYING being in the muzzle and leash? ;-)
If the world is ready for "two Eds" (see the boat graveyard pics) the world can handle an un-muzzeled ~me!!!
You'd think so.
You've done it - you've caught the soul of this institution. Right through your photo, leaps inchoate darkness. It's heartstopping!

Not evil, but profoundly untamed, this is... atavistic? Like a flash of the darkness that surrounds human intelligence, just beyond our reach. You think?

This one goes beyond your usual WOW factor! Thanks for sharing.
You guys are cracking me up....... I say unmuzzle the girl, that's my vote.
If you unmuzzle ~Me then I can have my lollipops again.
But my dear, you ARE a lollipop! ;-)
I used to have a soap dispenser like that at my old school
Don't know about the soap dispenser business, the picture is fantabulous, though. Good eye Motts!
Sweeeeet!
Again, it's the penis thing. It's facinating but disturbing. These old fortresses had a real preoccupation with masculine architecture.
Beautiful and sad.
i love the lamp post...
Brilliant!
If you ever come across a lamp with paws, like from the old days, tell me! I love them! I wanted to steal one while in Newport RI, but it's kinda twice my size and there were a lot of people there. Haha.
I don't believe you'll be wanting to steal this one...it's got a rather official looking 15 MPH sign attached to it. :)
Ah, good point. And I wouldn't steal from anyone of these places anyways....but borrow for a gala event...yes. haha, those feet on lamps, I'm telling ya
This a CREEPY photograph of the building !!!

Signed: An American Soldier in Germany.
TOOK MY BREATH AWAY!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!
Am I the only one that sees a face in the crook of the lamp post?????
when does the cript creeper comr to welcomte us
There is several of these origional light poles still in the area. Its really pretty cool.
i say "whatever man"
the picture of the clocktower in silhouette is so creepy....I can hear the "Psycho" music in the background!!!!
I had a nice view of it from my condo window across the lake. It is creepy no matter where it is viewed from!
great place for a horror movie. I love this picture it's spooky, but yet beautiful. You are very talented Motts i love your site and thank you for sharing your art.
I love the lamp
Dark & lifeless. Night envelops this place into an inky blackness. The ornate streetlight hints at a time long past. Beautiful photography.
I see the face too, it looks like an owl's face to me
