"The round building was inaccessible because of a collapsed floor."

d'oh! That, and the tower, were the two things I wanted to see interior pics of the most!
Yeah, me too...
Humph! Like that's ever stopped you before! ;-)
But it was a really bad one this time, I swear!
Mr. Motts!-What, no carabiners? ;-)
Sorry, Mssr. Motts - looks like we are pushing you to more and more dangerous extremes just for our viewing pleasure. ;-)
OK, no more vicariousness-am I out of hand, Lynne?
-I'll bring the carabiners and use em meself, Mr. Motts! 8=()
Well, you are out of hand, but here I am right beside you, edging the poor man on to more and more dangerous ventures. ;-)
We will color-code our ropes and give Mr. Motts the right of way! 8=()
Like everyone else, the rotunda is what was intriguing me most too. Dammit. Better to stay safe though Motts, we would like it if you kept doing this for a long time.......
Mr. Motts has been doing this for awhile...a master at it too, :-)
Why we call him 'Lord Motts'
uh un... "lordy", Mr. Motts!
I like that, Me! "Lord Motts"...... the ranking suits his wonderful abilities.
Yes, the title is very befitting of Motts, in his work and demeanor. I can not take compliments on issuing such title. However, I believe such tribute goes to the esteemed Radical Ed? Lynne will correct me if I am inaccurate.
My sweet ~Me, I believe you haven't been wrong yet. is t ;-)
Help! My computer ate this and sent it before I was finished! =8-o

I tried to say, "Isn't that right?" at the end, but the post done went and sent itself before I could do anything! ~Me's orb must be caught up in all this somehows! =8-o
oh but I have been wrong, oh so wrong.

To whom it concerns;
I am truely sorry. Forgive me, but don't forget me, please.
I got in to the rotunda. I nearly fell throught to the basement. but what was on the otherside was awesome.
Motts ... I thought you could levitate?!?!
give ya a grand to walk through all the buildings ALONE
Rusty how about some pics!
I was in Wordester State once not as resident but an evplorer . I must have been in a different part of the hospital because I was in a room with Snoopy painted on the wall and the Red Baron, did you ever see that room Motts? Please let me know Buddytwou@aol.com
It does sound familiar... I might have missed it or not have taken a photo of it, as I needed to get back to NY for work in a few hours.
The difference in buildings is whether you want to jump the fence or waltz right in. ;)

I prefer waltzing, myself. Or walking quickly.
OMG WAIT THERE WAS NO FLOOR!!!??
Any idea what the rotunda was used for, or what it housed?
And p.s. did you have a chance to drive down BEHIND all of this? there's a super creepy playground that's all overgrown back there...I think there used to be some kind of camp there at one point....just recently worked up enough nerve to check it out! haha
As it were, the Hooper Turret (the second one, not this one) seems to have been some kind of meeting area. So maybe this one served the same purpose?
I love the way the gray of the sky perfectly mirrors the gray of the building.
I heard the round buildings were for patients that heard voices and back then they thought that the voices were coming from the cracks of the walls. I don't know if this is true. I was wondering if someone could contact me at whitepaw2005@yahoo.com and tell me if I am right or what they used those buildings were used for. Thank You
THERE WAS A CAMP THERE AT ONE TIME....CAMP JOY. THIS WAS A DAY CAMP FOR THE MENTALLY HANDICAPPED.THEY WOULD HOLD DANCES THERE AND I WOULD HAVE DRIVE DOWN TO PICK HER UP EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT...VERY CREEPY
ALSO, MY STEP FATHER WAS THE CHIEF ENGINEER AND HE RAN THE BOILERS IN THE 70'S, 3RD SHIFT. I REMEMBER VISITING HIM THERE ONE TIME AT NIGHT ...VERY HUGE AND CREEPY .
whats in those buildings that you couldn't get into? i say go in anyways u fall u fall. . . its just what u might fall into that could hurt you!
