sheesh, it looks like someone just left. creepy
Wow, the scratches on the, the mattress, is incredibly moving
Ugh. This place is freeky. Look, someone left their hat on the ground. :(
Looks like someone finally flipped, tired of marking the days in scratches on the wall, and trashed the place in a fit of frustration...
Motts, what is that dogfood-like substance on the floor?
This reminds me of the remnants of middle eastern war zones that are being so frequently splayed across the airways on CNN these days, usually with some poor arab child squatting in the corner, When i see this, i expect to see a weeping mother kneeled over her dieing child on that matress in some sort of hospital ruin.
That ~is~ dogfood. My aunt resided in both Ancora and Graystone, and insisted that the food served was really dogfood. I can still hear her...
"It looks like dogfood, it smells like dogfood, it tastes like dogfood. it ~is~ dogfood"
Excellent photograph.. almost disturbing. the very fact that someone was once constrained to this room and we see the bed they once slept in is a powerful aspect...
Entropy is a dynamic force that is unavoidable and unrelenting. Decay is nature's recipe for natural recycling. Death is everyones anodyne.
I could be wrong but I believe the substance on the floor is some sort of wood shavings.
The substance on the floor looks to me like the foam from a busted pillow.
I think its that weird foamy stuff in couch seats.
all i can say is wow
that bed looks suprisingly comfy did you touch it.
umm kinda creepy, and it does look like dogfood on the floor
Yes, the bed does look suprisingly comfortable. Nice and firm. I guess it all depends on what "sleep number" you are.
I love looking back on pictures and thinking what could have been going on many years ago, how the people felt etc
You're pictures are incredbile. Unlike countless other urban expo photos, they actually speak to you and you can almost see the person in that room, scratching the walls. Going even crazier in such a small space.
That "Small space" is about 3 times bigger than a jail cell
if anyone has ever seen "In Dreams" with Robert Downey jr. and Annette benning, which was filmed here, the scratches look really similar to the walls in the movie when Annette is freaking out in her hospital room.
theres like claw marks on the walls!
