Yes, I watched a person who was in delerium tremens, alcohol detox. I look in to the locked room and his face popped up in the little window and we both freaked. He yelled and so did I. He told me that the gas station acrossed the street was on fire and there were these huge bugs crawling up the wall. It was so appalling and heart rendering I could never forget it. I don't think that he was recieving much r/x at the time, certainly not enough to relieve him of the horrible hallucinations he was having. He was nude, it was cold and this poor soul was going cold turkey. I could do nothing because of the powers to be. This was the room and I'll always be haunted by it.

i would hate to be secluded in there....alone.....by myself......traped...hungary......scilence.....no bathroom..........feeling like a rat in a cage.....feeling like theres no escape.......and there never really was

That little window, to me, just seems to personify loneliness and lost hope.

I wounder if any of these tortured souls ever felt safe in these rooms? or at the aslyums?
