Well, this "lonesome chair" shot is now in my Top 10 gallery!
I agree, this place also seems vandel free!
I'm lovin' that door too...
good colors :)

<33 you motts!
oh man...this image is stunning!
I love the feeling it creates in me looking at it.

Creepy

and beautiful.
Wow! I really like this photo! I feel like you captured the spirit of this place and it stays with you... It's as if someone had been sitting in that chair for years waiting for a release and it finally came to them...sheding light upon the darkness they once felt...wow...
Perfect.
This image completely demonstrates the atmosphere of this place.
That made shivers down my spine. :)
Great lighting, and contrast My favorite lonely chair.
OK this place is like so Freaky and that chair looks like there isa dead person on it.
It reminds me of a ward that they called the bullpen. An attendant would sit in this kind of a chair with a baseball bat and would take charge. This was a story that I was told. I know that they actually had a ward that was called a bullpen, but I don't really know about the baseball bat.
i've noticed that if you read all ht comments about a picture you forget that the picture is lol
awesome pasel coloring. ironic too. . . a chair right next to the exit sign.
K Building, at Belchertown State School, had a fenced -in recreational yard called the Bullpen.
That's a nice chair (it was anyway). It's called a Windsor chiar.
OMG my grandparents have that same rocking chair in there house but its pukey green !!!
Great work, you captured the true essense of Byberry state Hosp. I had a friend who was there for several years, then transfered to Norristown state......... The photos would make a good photo opp, for another Hell Raiser movie Regards
It IS the chair that many sat upon waiting....for that door to be just as it is. They are now dust on the floor.
This chair reminds me of the one my grandmother used to sit in to knit all the time. :) Of course, it was in her house....
Great shot, I love the door too!
It looks so sad, like it's been waiting there for someone to come get it....
Creepy shot!
