i lived in this one house for nine years and never went in the basement. Im extremely scared of basements, :-O
Anna,
Theres nothing to be afraid of in a basement, except of course the ghosts, bugs, shadows and the lights going off while youre alone down there! lol, just kidding.... : - )
Very cool picture, looks like the tunnels in a castle.
^ and your old Furby that suddenly decides to start talking when you're rummaging around in a dark corner for something...and you've been nowhere near the thing...
Ah, Babara, Furbies! They are a pain-very noisy!

Anna, don't worry, dear: As Silkster40z said, a basement is just a place that creepy stuff has that everyone dislikes.
oh is that all ?? and i here i was skerred for nothing. :~
Well, actually *I* am down there sometimes . . . . just waiting . . .
Great photo to start us off with Motts, I love the repetition of the arches!
Ok, my remark was dumb-it happens sometimes :-)
Think of how many bricks were needed to build that tunnel.

You Can't have any pudding if you don't eat your meat!

Ahh, that song, my mantra of the past few years. (anyone ever see the music video? kinda gory...I was Hard Rock cafe eating a meal and it was playing on one of the TV's...needless to say I wasn' t too hungy any more.) But now I find college is much more satisfying considering you're pretty much free to do as you choose.
and my favorite line.....

How can you have any 'pudding' if you don't eat your 'meat'?

I live about 15-20 minutes driving from there, Im paying a visit tomarrow.
The bellies of the homes were often reserved for the more noisiest inhabitants - I have done community care when I was younger - so I can speak with a little knowledge
