OMG...

Never mind the mushy floor, it's the scary buckled wall that's presumably holding up the entire weight of the roof that's freaking me out...

I hope you didn't feel the need to cough or sneeze in this building Motts...
Not only that Rich, but those ceiling joists are supposed to be horizontal, not at that sickly 10 deg. angle. The place is on the brink of catastrophic structural failure!

Not to sound like your mother or anything, Motts, but one of these days you're going to meet your death in one of these places. Once chance too many taken, and all that. It's a trite thing to write on a (nearly) anonymous message board like this, but that would be a real tragedy...

Seriously dude, please be careful out there!
It makes a hell of a shot though, doesn't it?

[devil and angel wrestling on shoulder - devil winning]
the place looks like it's melting.
ACHOO! Oh, damn.

XD

You're absolutely right, AngelWolf, it does look like its melting.
Gives me that weird ache in my tummy!!!
I would love a full-size Poster of this picture!!! Or at least a high resolution shot available :)
The Salesian mansion looked much like this before the wall finally gave up the ghost.
Almost looks like an acid trip gone horrible wrong....like Pink Floyd's The Wall in a way
Wow, amazing! Please be careful Motts?
I wonder what the exterior shot of this same location looks like? There is an incredible amount of structural stress and deformation occurring. If the winter snows are heavy enough this winter it would not surprise me to see this section give out.
There's a bunch of exteriors here http://www.opacity.us/...erland.htm#image2058 and in the other galleries. The walls are very sturdy, it's the floors and roof that collapse frequently.
Motts, you're on. Would you kindly edit my stupidity once again? Appreciate it!!!
It definitely reminds me of a volcano.
Beautiful shot, it looks like you earned your keep with this one!!
Ok, this would scare the bejeezus out of me!
No. One. Breathe.
Once again, first in 2 years, so no one is probably going to read this, but I gotta say, Nothing ventured nothing gained! Motts, do be careful but keep at it! We all end up in one of those coolers you are so fond of shooting anyway, so may as well go out doing what you love!
Heh I read it! After seeing the churches posted today, the link from one sent me traveling back to Riverside! And once again, I am going through every one of the galleries!
Oh dear...that floor looks like quicksand...and a sandpit on the top floor is likely not good...
