You are a braver man than I am, Mr. Motts
This is just so freaking cool, that's all I can say!
Jeez.

The phrase 'rotten as a pear' springs to mind...

This place is in pretty bad shape.
Love it! Love it! Love it! Love it! Them lights! Them colors! Them people fallin' through the floor! :-)

Rich, that's an interesting saying. Did you say you were British? I am not familiar with that particular saying.
Let us not discuss people falling though floors in abandoned buildings, please. Too many bad memories.
Does this have to do with the yellow blanket on the rooftop of one of the buildings?
this reminds me of a dream i had once many, many years ago. simply stunning! i can't tear myself away from this picture. spectacular job, motts!
Yep, I'm from the other side of 'the pond' Lynne. I think "rotten as a pear" comes from the fact that pears do spoil pretty quickly if left lying around. I'm gussing there mind. And I never realised how many phrases and sayings don't make it to the US until I started seeing a girl from Boston... the poor lass is constantly confused by my somewhat odd way of putting things lol...
just.. awesome.
i like the curtains
It's actually kind of pretty when you look at it...except it looks like if you took one step further you would've gone down a few floors....with that bureau on top of you lol.
Looks like the place you end up in when you have bad dreams. The kind you can't get out of.
Ooo i like! The curtains give it an erie glow.
the light coming through the tops of the windows looks pretty cool. i like the curtains too.
I have viewed about 200 of your photos tonight. They are beautiful, sad and creepy. What I don't get is why some rooms/hallways are completely gutted of furniture and artifacts except for 1 or 2 items. Did the guys removing the things (chairs, baths, scales etc), put 90% of the items on the truck , look around and say "Stuff it!! That'll do". I think it's strange that the removalist job was only ALMOST completed.
If I didn't know any better I'd say that was a sound stage.
rich, you ever say things go "pear-shaped"?
The colors on the windows are so pretty. I wish more bulidings now had stained colored glass..... its so cool to look at.
some one did not pay the rent to owen bill
Decay
Love the colours, yet again.
