gesh, this is a relief!
Mr. Motts, did you feel like you were travelling through a nightmare of a maze?
Motts there is something so lonely about this shot......and I can almost see people moving about on the floor, going about their jobs....
I hear ya, Jude...really dismal and disheartening...but maybe this is the breakfast area and it only gets better.... :(
What is that? This asylum looks a lot like a warehouse, porbally because it's not as old as the others I've seen huh?
Oh and you should definitely do something on the Tewksbury State Hospital-although it's not abandoned, it's the last of it's kind. And most of the houses around it that once housed workers and poor people who worked on the farm, are abandoned. I would reccomend checking those out. If you want, it's just a suggestion but I've taken some shots inside of those buildings and the came out fantastic!
It's the power plant for the hospital, where electricity and steam were generated to heat all the buildings on the campus. I've been to Tewksbury, yes it was a very nice looking place!
I can't wait until it's not in use anymore. I can only exlpore the grounds so much before the workers get upset with me. I've thought about getting a job in the file room there just to get inside. Maybe get a peek at the Danvers Files tha are supposively there. =)
Everything's at a stand-still; never to be used again. kind of sad.
I don't know if anyone has ever seen the movie by Stephen King " IT" well this looks like the pipes that the kids go down to go into the sewers to kill IT.
You captured the abandoned, empty mood of this area so well.........
