Garage Door

A blinding light streams in from behind a menacing door in the power plant.

A portal to an infernal nether region?
It looks quite interresting.......
Very Sinister! Damn near wet myself!

LOVE IT! EVERYTHING ABOUT IT
Wow, took me a minute for my eyes to really see what that was,, I kept seeing flames in those windows lol.
Pobo, That is why I love this shot! Thought the very same thing.

Then my eyes drifted to the cobwebs on the right and then to the left my eyes darted and then I slowly took in the whole scene as if slowly stepping backwards in the room itself! Motts has a wonderful talent to bring you right into his shots that I admire greatly.
I saw the flames too!
Holy crap Motts, I don't know if it's because I'm completely out of it or what, but this shot confuses me...Though, today, that isn't the hardest thing in the world to do. I love it though.
I See Dead People
This is a great picture. It's sureal, yet crisp.
...glad the door could be pried open to reach the real sunlight...
Phenominal Shot!
this looks like a maya scene...cool!
The first pic and its totally amazing!
On a first glance, it made me think of the basement bit in Home Alone where Kevin McC gets freaked out by the growling furnace!
Motts, I love your work. I would like to know a little more about the camera you use. I have a Canon Rebel 6.3 Mega Pixel. I would like to try to get take shots like this around my house as a start. What suggestions or additions would I need to do this.

I know I need a tripod. But what type of Lens. I don't think the EF-S lens that I have is fast enough for these low light levels you seem to be using. Also, my Canon only opens up to 30 seconds max. How can I increase it to like 5 minutes.

Thanks.
Woo Hoo! Love it when I come here and there's new pictures. :)
Look at the floor in the foreground, it seemed like a flaming piece of debris had shot in from the burning other side and landed on the floor. If you look even more closely, it looks like the floor is covered with some dry accelerant and is about to ignite rapidly
Seems like u could put paper bags up there and get the same effect. You ppl need to try to disprve things oterise ur just gonna believe just about anything
And you... oh nevermind...
OMG I thought that was a still it furnace at first! I thought it was pretty spooky that it was lit and the building was abandond.

Sweet shot motts
Reminds me of The Mangler by Stephen King.
...I See Hell In Your Eyes...
Hot damn. Through the windows, it honestly looks like an inferno. Could mix it up if the light wasn't shining through the crack.
Haha. At first thought it looked like something out of a 'nightmare on elm street' film. A great shot again Motts. Great work man
You draw us right in....even if we're just looking at garage doors.......amazing!
wow that's a great pic! love how it looks like flames in the garage door windows!
The door looks like a pair of eyes - -
Bloody. Hell. That is phenomenal.
i love it, it is dark, i love the dark
Definitely one of my favorite shots on the site. The picture just sends chills... The picture should be named Fear... it looks like the portal to my nightmares....
What the hell is going on in there? Look's like Dr Frankenstein's lab!
