OK, what I meant was that I got two different thoughts/feelings from looking at this photo. First was that the picture was incredibly impressive in the way it was put together - the colors, the centering, the look and feel of the slowly eroding iron and the murky water juxtaposed against the blue sky. Second was a claustrophobic feeling of being trapped and slowly sucked under water, which is something that scares the bejesus out of me when I think about it (which I try not to do very often <G>), and it is amazing that a simple photo could elicit all of this at once.
That better? :-)
Yes and no.... lol This is a very powerful picture. And yes, it immediately gave me the feeling of being sucked underwater, trapped in a ship that is sinking with no way out. I'm reminded here of an old movie called - The Last Voyage - which scared the heck out of me. I have no claustrophobic issues, but I do have major drowning fears.
Damn Motts... you certainly have an amazing ability to stir emotional reactions with your photography.
Thank you for the boats Motts, although I like all your photographs...so...yeah...okay. Needless to say I wouldn't scuba here...
And now back to this picture that really reminds of the Titanic and how the people must have felt...
I LIKE YOUR PHOTOS, SO THAT THE ATTENTION WILL CALL SO MUCH TO US THESE THINGS
Oohhhh, gives me a shivery case of the booboo-jeebies every time I look at it!
You won't be happy till you know whats inside......
let us out...
please?...
Sorry. Just had to say the cheesy phrase that was on my mind.
Twug, in the case of drowning, I would hope to black out quick and not spend minutes prior fighting for air...or does that only happen from suffrocation due to something held over someone's face?
Wave pools? Yeah, I momentarily bumped my head on an inner tube trying to come back up at the Denver water park.
"WHAT NO WAY!!!!
"WE ARE SINKING!!!"
"TELL MY WIFE I LOVED HER!"
"hey you jerk what about me..."
"oh sorry....too soon?"
