that is the most beautiful safe i ever saw
Is that a painting on the safe(center) or just weathering and rust? or am i completely wrong about both?
Wow amazing shot! ive been to that place atleast 10 times and have never seen that safe ...its a shame the T building is gone.
Beautiful. Looks like something you'd find in a bank from the Old West.
However you lit this up Motts, it's immaculate. Very very cool, thanks for this one.
KayD27, yes it looks like a painting on the safe's inner doors, although it's tough to make out what it is of. Here's a close-up.
beautiful shot, a wonderful find.
Did you get any photos of the patterns on those two sets of doors? What was inside?
Nope, and it was empty.
You did a beautiful job on this - it is truly amazing. There's a lot of great atmosphere in this.
Good photograph and I love this neat safe.
That's a bitchin' safe.
Never saw a safe with designs like that. Beautiful.
beautiful!
Before they were shut down there we probablly bodies of the patients that "exceeded" their expectations and experiments.
????
In other words, patients whom they performed experiments on that actually took some effect they'd stash the body in there for keeps, and take out when they were shut down, a road to fame in the world of science.
Oh Shawn you need to lay off of the horror flicks. BTW I want that in my house!! Imagine that in your living room. Love it!!
Those outer doors look too big to close -- or it it an optical illusion? They just look too big to me!!
It's beautiful, but doesn't look very secure :-/
Looks like the wardrobe in The Lion the Witch and The Wardrobe, Chronicles Of Narnia.
first time posting , been addicted for 2 weeks . beautiful shot mr motts i really
appreciate all your work you are doin a grea t service . thank you
i just love the colours.. theyre so rich.
This would make a lovely, beautiful antique, if it was restored.
i'll buy it at any price my number is
Just curious, how did you obtain access to the hospital buildings????
He teleports. Honest to God.
Teleports ? The man is insane having his atoms scattered all over the universe like that. That's not right!
Janice, this safe is "triple secure". There are the inner doors, the middle door, and the then the outer door. The door to the left stacks on top of the inner doors and then the door on the right neatly closes over it all. The "shelf" on the inside of the outer door probably held some "petty cash" or other things needed for everyday use. This eliminated having to open the whole darn thing to get 5 bucks out.
Janice: I bet you say that to all the boys!!!..
I love that safe it would make a cool china cabinet!
OMG I agree, I never thought a safe could be so beautiful!
that's cool
Antique safes often are handpainted with nature scenes on the outer door or on the inside.
Looks like a Tabernacle.
Gorgeous.
i want this badd
Really now...if they stored bodies in that safe, they would have had to miniaturize them first, with that invention from "Honey, I Shrank the Kids." If the results of the experimentation were really such a road to scientific fame, we would all know about it by now. So I have to conclude that this insistence on the reality of non-existent experiments is an example of what "they" call a fixed delusion.
i do work at the condo project .this place is wird
sorry trish we cut that with a demo saw!!!!!
Looks like the entrance to Narnia.
Still I wonder what was so important to need a safe. Perhaps the records of employees that went crazy from the job? Maybe they were using the patient for secret biochemical experiments? It could be that the head person was hiding money from his wife...lol
I think most hospitals have safes. The one that I worked in had one. You never knew what an ER patient might have with them. Only way to be sure it was protected was the hospital safe.
I would hazard a guess that at the time this hospital operated, most private patient's paid in cash. So the safe was needed between bank runs. Also wonder if the staff was paid in cash?
did u take it? i wouldve.
Ooh,maybe it leads to Narnia!
I love it so much, you know I look at some of the things in these pics and say to myself those things are so old you could get a pretty penny for them. I know that there is patrol at most places but some one should try to roll that out of there ( I moticed it had wheels) because even though it is a bit of a mess I know that someone would pay good cash for that...
It also may have been to lock up patients belongings that were of value if they mistakingly came in with something worth anything...
Its a shame that this just sits to rot..take it, restore it :)
