I wonder if it was as creepy when it was "up and running" as it is now.....very haunting photo, Motts
That looks really creepy.. were the floors stable?
This picture is amazing
Yes, the floors were concrete so they were very sturdy.
Wowza! Another Top Ten pic!
The BEST in this bunch I have seen yet!
What a hauntingly beautiful picture Motts..... just perfect.
...and the rest of us could see that same scene and all we'd see is raggedy-ass curtains and a wet floor. You rock, Motts!
Mssr' Motts, were the tatters inside or out?
Also, the cross' bearing or meaning is illusive.
This is a most disturbing room....
They are tatted pulldown shades so they were inside.
...oy, destroyed from the inside out is worse. I take it the panes were intact.
What is incredible is that you recognized and captured both the upper and lower jagged cuspids..."Jaws" would have been a fine caption, too!
or "incisors". kind of resembles rat's teeth.
Yes I see those varmit teeth in the left window...
Tho I was looking at the whole uppers and lowers...they are nashing or noshing on the cross

Hey twug, my grandmother was a nurse there (FSH) for 30 odd years.

She had plenty of stories to tell. Lots of wierd stuff. From the mid 50's to the early 70's some REALLY twisted people were kept there.

Later in the late 70's all the dangerous patients were transfered to Taunton State Hospital. Then in the early 80's when I worked there, it was all mentally handicapped patients (Downs Syndrome).
Amazing shot! You really captured a lot of feeling with this one.

Session 9 was a good movie. Must've been cool to hear all those creepy stories from someone that was actually there.
Excellent pic, macro, micro. It's animated in a still photo. Hey, Motts, you do good work.
Sort of like one of them there skirts with the jagged hem.
Yes.......like a hankerchief hem! Beautiful shot!
Just like a beautiful bitter-sweet dream!!
So, what was the smell like in that place?
Very eerie looking room! Probably get plenty of good EVPs in this one!
