Are those toilets between those partitions?
And, is that the sink on the back and left of the picture? I wasnt sure because its very low (unless its to accommodate the handicapped - which I assume it would be...)
and the water comes out like a fountain in a
semicircle spray pattern. A number of people can
wash at the same time.
A few yrs ago when I was living up in Canada, i worked for an auto parts packager and inspector( contracted out to Ford Canada) and the plant where we worked had a number of sinks like these all over the packaging floor. LOL sometimes there were 5 or 6 of washing all the nasty auto grease and debris off our hands, trying to get done before our pitiful breaks were over!
We had sinks like that at the carburetor remanufacturing company.And yes people threw wadded paper into them.
And yes you had to rush on your damn break.

As single sinks, they are pretty common in Italy still today, especially in restaurants.
