what was between those walls to the right? and is that thing to the left a water tap? (sorry my english is very bad, i'll try to type as good as i can)
Motts,
Are those toilets between those partitions?
And, is that the sink on the back and left of the picture? I wasnt sure because its very low (unless its to accommodate the handicapped - which I assume it would be...)
I haven't seen sinks like that since elementary school. You step on the bar at the base of the sink
and the water comes out like a fountain in a
semicircle spray pattern. A number of people can
wash at the same time.
Yep there are toilets between the partitions, which were made out of marble if I remember correctly.
Wow, those sinks bring back memories! Yep, had those in gradeschool, so they were still around some places as recent as 8 -10 years ago. Always thought they were kinda neat.
THE COLORS ARE VERY BEAUTIFUL AND THE REPEATING OF THE CURVE SHAPE OF THE STALLS ARE VERY UNIQUE. I REALLY LIKE THIS ONE.
good enough to pee in LOl
I dont like toilets that low though; it makes me suspicious...
your pics are very interesting. I have heard alot of the hospital out hete and i am very fasinated... I have looked at pics of the T.B. hospital in hanson also. i am very interested. Thank you for posting these.
Oh, neat. It's been a while since I have seen sinks like that too. I didn't have them in elementary school, but I had them in high school. They had those sinks in the auto body room so you could wash primered fenders and such off. Nice pic!
oh my. that sink reminds me of the catholic school i went to in the 90's. great pic.
I saw sinks like that at a high school football game. Somebody almost peed in one.
We have sinks like that in the football stadium at my college. People have a terrible habit of wadding up paper towels and dropping them in.
We had those sinks too, except ours was a full circle in the middle of the girls dressing room.
Doublebass,
A few yrs ago when I was living up in Canada, i worked for an auto parts packager and inspector( contracted out to Ford Canada) and the plant where we worked had a number of sinks like these all over the packaging floor. LOL sometimes there were 5 or 6 of washing all the nasty auto grease and debris off our hands, trying to get done before our pitiful breaks were over!
I never saw sinks like those before. Very interesting.
Oh wow! I nearly frogot about those sinks. We had those in the grade school(s). I liked them b/c the way the water came out reminded me of the rainforest building at our local zoo.
Water tap ; one of my favorite terms. Use it all the time.

We had sinks like that at the carburetor remanufacturing company. And yes people threw wadded paper into them.
And yes you had to rush on your damn break.
Nothing like going to the bathroom and being able to make eye contact with the person going next to you.
I am suprised nobody mentioned the soap dispensers that are usually on top of the fountains, they seem to be missing.
Oh, the soap. We either got that nasty mintyish smelling liquid or that sickly pink stuff that smelled like a cross between the lady's room at church and old lady... YUCK!
Those sinks are still around. They're called Bradley Wash Fountains. They come in full round and half round versions.

We had similar single or two-person sinks in one of the four grade schools I attended. There was a small pedal at the front that could be pressed by one foot, but the spouts rarely worked well and the pedals quickly broke after daily assault by middle school girls. XD
i remember those sinks in elem. school too....omg does that make us old? hohumm......
@Cataclysmic Star:
As single sinks, they are pretty common in Italy still today, especially in restaurants.
the urinal on the left looks like the ones at the brockton fair
