Turrets in the Water

Turrets in the Water

These might have been connected to the island by a wooden dock, I'm not sure... but these structures rising out of the water were quite beautiful.

This one is totally unreal ! Absolutely Fab!
Wow!I have a serious love for castles and medieval things and this just about takes the cake.
Where the hell do you find these places Motts? (places i've only dreamed of) Thanks - Ed from Oregon
Ahhhhhhh, Banerman's. One of the "Holy Grail" abandoned sites. I plan to take the tour next Saturday. It will be worth the money. Thank you for this appetizer, Mr. Motts!
I read somewhere that a tour was 40 bucks per person. Well worth it. The money is for a good cause. I'd love to take a vacation and go see this place.
You can see the turrets intact here:

this is beautiful, it reminds me of Ireland
Took the tour today. Very enjoyable.
damn--looks like the moat flooded again.....lol
I love this picture so interesting.
I've been to this island several times. It's very calming. And me and my mom find tons of broken pottery and blue glass. =3
china* Sorry. Not pottery.
Referred to as the "Twin Towers"...were never connected by wooden docks...didn't do your homework!
this wonderfully beautiful
Came across here from UER,and Ive been on this island (not on a tour).Such an awesome trip!
Wow, oh wow!!! Love remains of old forts and buildings! This segment will be a real treat for me! Thank-you!
My great great great grandfather was in the spanish american war and i still have his uniform : ) It fits me perfectly too.
dont know how I missed this before but I am now offically in awe of this place........ even thou it really doesnt look much like a Scottish castle ......... nore of a idilic version!! lol :o)
This is one of two places that are easily visible on the same train. Taking a train from Penn station in NYC to Buffalo will give you the opportunity to see the arsenal, then many miles away near the trip's end (or beginning if leaving buffalo from exchange st. i believe), Buffalo Central Terminal.
My G-Father was in the Spanist Am War. I love this!!!!!!
i believe they were once conected to the island by stone cause ways, visible now only during low tide, this is the reason boats do not come close to the island
im still a kid 8th grade and i love this place me and my friends do some crazy stuff and we took a cayac out to the castle i advise you people not to go here it is dangerous and if your supersticious cursed by bannerman himself aand his soldiers
from this world ? - "SUPER"
when my brother had a sailboat we would go as close to the island as we could and 1 nite we anchored right of its shores with the moon light shining right through the castle making it look lk an appirition
