Oh my God, this is one of your best shots yet!!!!!!

Looks like Santa had a hard time getting down this particular chimney . . . .
This is one of my most favorite I think.
stunning
that fireplace is beautiful ,a great photo!!
This is on my top 10 list! The texture and colors are fantastic!
Now they don't make fireplaces like that anymore.I'm assuming this must be handmade.Mass produced goods don't have that kind of quality.
That fire place makes me think of somthing from a Lewis Carrol book. If youly it had a looking-glass
Very nice.
Nice.. very detailed
beautiful fireplace. Definitely not like what they shove into homes nowadays. Thank god for salvage shops.
Well, everyone said everything about this photo already, let me add, stunning!! Looks brand new. This should become another wallpaper I'd say.
.....WOW..........
It looks like someone removed the heart of the fireplace though... and did not care to clean up the debris...it was probably an expensive marble or stone...
You can tell this was private at one time from the fancy things like this.
How has that remained in such good condition among all of the ruin?
outta time, outta place
I'll take that fireplace.
Ha Ha Ha! Sandy, you and Twug rhymed! LoL! I don't know if you meant to, but good one!

I love this shot! What a beautiful, beautiful fireplace!
Looks a bit like my fireplace... cleaner, obviously, but not unlike mine.

And generally nicer.
Brad and Sage: I don't believe in taking things out of buildings like this, as it's stealing. However, if I knew this building was going to be torn down next week, and they weren't allowing people to attempt to salvage first, yes I would probably take this too. It is too beautiful to allow it to be destroyed for no good reason. But as long as this building isn't in danger of being destroyed, you should leave it alone. It doesn't belong to you.

Then again, how do you go about stealing a fireplace anyway? Seems kinda big to be sneaking out with...
I am always stuned at how well the fire places are preserved. Most of these places have such lovely finre places, even when some of the places themselfs held horrid secrets
Amazing contrast. Sweeeet
i love the color of the tiles
GOD! I would LOVE that to be in my house!!!!!!
It's so pretty
Holy shit!! A piece of history that idiot-fuggin vandals havent touched! Wow, Im amazed at how in-tact it is! I love the ornate square things over the fireplace...
Does this remind anyone else of Alice in Wonderland?
Long Island -- why do you ask? Did Alice go up the fireplace? Please 'splain.
It's more the colors than anything else and the big door/ little door thing. The fire place looks kind of out of sink. The imagery just reminded me of that movie for some odd reason. The colors maybe...
First words out of my mouth,"Oh, my gosh, is that nice!!."
i'm sorry as wrong as it is saying how could anyone leave that little gem in there
Wow! not a scratch on it
it looks great!
very good conditions.
honestly, in Romania we have lots of hospitals still populated and the conditions are more than terrible.
Its so grandiose, but still...so small.
Ohh, I had an almost identical fireplace in the house I grew up in, in Brooklyn, NY, except that the checkerboard pattern on ours was different greens. Fond memories.
