Thanks again Motts for more gorgeous pictures !!!
This place REALLY has atmosphere!
I am really impressed by this shot, if I may ask, what kind of camera do you use to take these photos? Triditional 35mm film? or completely digital and post processed in Photoshop? I ask this, cos many of the B&W shots you've taken are amazing and have a great amount of detail with a great contrast balance. (something I'm still struggling with. Most of mine that I have takien in B&W (with film) have too much contrast and the image is washed out or what I take on my digital but just doesn't turn out as good as a triditional film camera can be.

Awesome shot overall :)
Thanks, everything on here is digital; this was taken with a 300D Rebel. I do levels and contrast work on many photos.
OMG!!!!! EVERY SINGLE PIC IS CHALK FULLED OF FAB-NESS!!!! I ESPECIALLY LOVE THIS LAST ONE!!!
Dunric: I don't photograph (never had the eye for it), but I do use photoshop (actually, GiMP) extensively during my day. I've found that the best B&W photos I can get start out as color photos that are just ok, but which I convert to black & white on my computer. For some reason I've found that digital doesn't shoot as good in B&W mode, so I take it as a color picture, then use the "Colorize" option in GiMP to turn it into a crisp B&W with awesome contrast. Try it out some time (GiMP is free, so you can try it without spending hundreds of dollars).
Love the picket fence.
I work for a construction company here in Florida which builds some very ornate homes. I cant help but think about the fact that in this age where we can build a house in 3 months that will need repair work done with in 10 years, these buildings, though in advance states of decay, still for the most part retain their former glory. The Iron work, the plaster, the masonry....all so intracate. I loved the shot of the fire escape...the scroll work looked like delicate lace. I love your work Motts!
I think that this is the perfect screen saver right here Motts.
Wow. This one.. Is just. Amazing. I don't know what it is about this picture, it's just great.
Amazing photos Motts
That picket fence adds a unique dimension to this photo along with the trees framing both sides...you have an incredible talent for lining up a shot! Bravo.....
I USED TO LOOK AT THIS HOSPITAL EVERY DAY AS A PATIENT AT ARNOLD LODGE PERSONALITY DISORDER UNIT. I ALWAYS WANTED TO LOOK INSIDE TOWERS. I NEVER GOT CHANCE. SHAME WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT. GLAD IM NO LONGER A PATIENT!!
Funny, how the wooden fence looks to be in worse shape than the buildings.
Thanks Motts for another wonderful gallery to see everyday. Keep up the wonderful work.
