Now THIS is a genius shot!
Very brave to get close to a hole like that. Weren't you worried about the floor surrounding that hole collapsing while you were standing on it?
AutumnTwin, I had the very same thought! Dear Mr. Motts must be very courageous indeed.
Underneath the edge I'm on is the wall that runs to the basement, it's actually pretty sturdy!
More than once I have taken a novice urban explorer into a place and had the floor groan or sag alarmingly beneath me. Once my foot went through a floor. So much for apearing like an expert.
I have fell through a floor up to my chest at Byberry, never want to do THAt again.
~Me!!!!!!! AIM me: SL Rocks My Sox or email me!
Richard, just act cool and say, "I meant to do that."
It looks like there's a rope you could grab onto and swing on.
Oh dear, Lynne! So true! You could be all, "And that's what will happen if you're not careful! Therefore...be careful. Now...kindly...HELP ME UP!"
And, poisonousxbeauty, if there was a rope of some sort, it'd no doubt be rotted through and through, seeing as the floor is no doubt in such a state of disrepair, most likely from water damage. The rotten rope of doom would be no good to anybody, really...not even Indiana Jones, himself.
You know.....I've been thinking about giving this urbex thing a try. I have some friends that do it, and I hear about some of the places they've been to and the things they've seen...

But it's pictures like this, and comments from some of you that have actually "been there, done that" that have made me think twice about it.

And beside, my chair here at home is oh-so comfy!
