Shining Sterility

Shining Sterility

This building was almost completely tiled; I imagine this is what Byberry must have looked like when it first closed.

The interior was cold, institutional, and resembled a prison in more ways than a hospital.

i love your hallway shots, and the fire hose reminds me of a tape worm, lol
Similar to Byberry right down to the yellow glazed cinderblocks seen in the majority of the buildings there...
Fire hose? i thought it was TP!
your right sam,
i looked at it closer and its paper of some kind, but still and all look like a tape worm to me.
A tapeworm without the hooking and sucking mouthparts but a tapeworm nonetheless.Wow it would be really frightening to encounter a tapeworm of that size!
I honestly don't see the tapeworm connection. but it adds effect.
Tapeworm? The tape that worms its way down the hall in this picture, lol
im sorry but it's hard for me to imagine you felt alone in this building meaning... even me looking at these pictures i imagine myself walking down the hall and constantly look behind me as i feel the eyes of children watching me .. any comment's ? email me at justicedreams24@aol.com
NAH ! Nobody's watching you . . . its the public schools. Nobody Cares
I'm watching you...be even more paranoid...please... >8X
I love it
well yes u would proabably have patients eyes and the spirit of them watching you all the time n feeling n seeing a bit of what they went threw... it would really chnage u..even looking at these..the screams n crys n tears...
well i guess its better then a door mat
great picture non the less
If I was completely alone, walking down this hallway, I know I'd feel paranoid. Whenever I went exploring, I always tried to have someone with me; I feel that's alot safer. Looking at all these pictures; I try to imagine walking through the rooms, etc. Would love it!
You could liken the tapeworm to the hospital, sucking the life out of it's poor helpless victims.

What was the rather large protruding box on the wall? It sticksout far enough!
The large box is where the tapeworm lives.
If the floor tiles were to be whiter, and the hall wider, I would swear this was the middle school I went to. Odd.

The wall tiling is exactly the same. Only in the older part of the school though. Man this pic brought back some memories for me. I could almost see lockers lined up on the right side, and classrooms on the left.
A path through hell...
looks like something out of a horror movie you know where people go into the rooms to get sadistically killed-urgh
LOVE this! It definitely looks, um, sanitary. ;)
Surprisingly clean and fresh
i think the "tapeworm" was a taped line down the center of the hall like a painted line on a road
looks more like a cash register or adding machine tape to me
when i look at this i see people screaming nd scared nd cold but ive never seen a fire hose that close up
