Flooded Hallway

Flooded Hallway

The floor did not look like it was going to last much longer.

freaky.... you are the shit! this building could make a killer horror movie
any abanonded place can make a good horror movie tended that they pay atteitnion 2 their detail
i also like to take photographs in abandoned buildings where water seems like a mirror. for me, these kind of picture increases the feeling of neverending wiredness (i'm so sorry for my terrible english but i don't know if you'd understand more if i'd write in german...)
You have fine English, sternheim.

Anyways, how bad is the stench in these places, Motts? I can't imagine what must be growing in the water...
This place is awesome, i wish i could go and see it for myself. the way you take the photos is great, i am in awe at your work of art! This type of photography is really moving.
Barbara beat me to it, but large amounts of stagnant water like this must really stink in a confined space.
Sometimes they do stink and/or turn a brownish green colour. I've seen water dripping from the ceiling making a plunk-plunk-plunk sound as you walk on by.
Pudster, yes, it was a dullard-style observation. However, derelict buildings here are usually also pretty cold, though I understand other people have a warm season called 'Summer', and under those conditions (i.e. warmth) their derelict buildings might well stink even more than do ours.

I truly apologise for my lack of ignorance.
I truly apologize for my lack of ignorance.

Mmm Thought for the day, What if Everyman thought as such?
Hebridea Al: Yeah, Summer is way over rated here. Winter is cold (a few weeks back it was 30F below zero! Brrr!!!) and summer is hot, often over 100F! I would be happy if it was just "moderate" year round...
Sorry, that was a bit stroppy. It was my fault that I didn't express myself properly in the first place.

Sketch, matey - a "moderate" climate would be great if it didn't mean grey and wet! That's more-or-less all we get out here. Very slightly colder in Winter, though!

~Me, I'm sorry to have to admit I nicked it from Len Deighton, but I'd hate to be accused of plagiarism.
It is a useful phrase, all the same!
I like where I live, we get those magical things called seasons. You know, warm summers, cold winters, nice springs, and loveley falls. Although when you're at the season you wish to be at the total opposite. An Inch of ice on the ground can be quite annoying.
Jo, I'll be moving back to a part of the world which actually has seasons as soon as I can, I do remember them and treasure that memory. However I suspect you don't understand irony, but that can be cured to an extent by the purchase of a dictionary, so don't give up, flower. You'll get there.

That's "flower" in the sense of blossom or bloom, incidentally, rather than "that which flows," and therefore a sort-of back-handed compliment rather than an outright insult... which is not my intent at all.

Glad you like where YOU live! And maybe it's me who doesn't understand irony.
Come to think about it, all of the buildings I've been in, were in the spring and summer.
"I truly apologize for my lack of ignorance. "
No apology necessary, ~Me.
8-)
I think I suffer from PMS.
(Possibly Missing Seasons).

It snowed today, incidentally. Might be Winter...
But it's hard to tell.
How come all the doors were just left open? Didn't someone close them?
the guy sitting next to me is in awe of these photos.
i am as well
and i live in smithtown so its not hard to get to Kings Park
if the water is that crappy, there is a handy-dandy soap dispenser in the bathroom....but then you'd also lose the lighting under the sink if you took it out.
This hallway wouldn't happen where I live. The weather is different, I guess.
stunning.

beautiful
y would the building get flooded i mean i dont think that the rain is THAT hard?
i live like next door to this wierd and creepy building ...well in the town
