Oh geez, this is a super shot!
There's a specific name for that kind of doorway arch window. Can't remember what it is.

Nice contrast between the beaming light and the gloomy room.
Motts, do you know what was this room used for?
Was it a church?
I think it was a dormitory.
Max - It is called a transom or a fanlight.
That wooden box/shelf/bookcase thing looks like it crashed through the skylight.
Am I looking at this pic wrong... or is there a hole in the ceiling. And, if there is... what IS that up there? I won't tell you all what I thought I saw...
I KNOW what you thought you saw..............Shame on you!

:)
I know this isn't the spot to post this but I'm new and have no idea where to post this. Anyone have any pics of Rolling hills ayslum? I seen it on ghost hunters <yes it has ghosts>. Not sure of the location but they said 1,000 some odd people died there. Just thought I'd ask.
What state is it in and what type of facility was it? I have a bunch of pix of different facilities, but I have them sorted by state.
My first thought was that those were mirrors on the side but I'm not quite sure. Anyone know?
It looks like a skeleton is looking at me up there.
It looks like a dormitory to me !!
Does anyone else see legs falling through that hole???????
Those boxes look like crates from a video game, with shotgun ammo and a chicken breast inside.
kinda looks like legs in the ceiling.
Is it me, or does it look in like in the hole in the ceiling, there is an owl like creature standing there?
