These were horrible to use as you have to lift the pt onto the scale and move it away from the bed to weigh them. Caused alot of nurses to have bad backs....Jill
I always thought that ACME was just a made up company in those Roadrunner + Coyote cartoons...
And here in the Philly/South Jersey area, Acme is a grocery store.

There's also a Acme boot company. They make cowboy boots.
Good Morning, our Backy!
And a very good morning to you too, and the rest of the members of 'Club 93'.

Looking forward to any and all new sparkling revelations that come forward today.
If you smoke, you could be Tuh Backy
Now, THAT is a revelation.
The scale only handles 400lbs. Obviously morbid obesity wasn't a big thing then. But, if it weighed the bed and patient then take away the bed weight and what could it handle? 200lbs?
Good thing it still has it's asset tag attached. #301437
Where they charging the patients by the pound??
No they were weighing them to see if they were losing or gaining weight. It's something those idiot medical professionals do to see if patients have a serious illness or other problem that needs to be addressed.
Durn barbarian medical professionals. ;-)
Not only that, but, how could the evil, ugly medical people charge by the pound when they were obviously starving people to death sheesh

= )~

*wanders off mumbling*
Now you're getting into the swing, Taubin! ;-)
I heard they used to put a hand on it too when noone was looking to add extra weight, ya know, to get some of those "extra" funds...
lol patrick, your a riot :))
