This picture reminded me of the origin of the Term "Kicked the Bucket"
In the old days in England, when one was in jail, it was literally a cage of iron bars and you were given a bed of straw and a bucket . The bucket was where you ate / drank from and (believe it or not) was also your toilet. Prisoners were often forgotten about and left to starve. Obviously conditions were bad and many committed suicide by tieing a piece of clothing to the top bar and placing it around their neck,, standing on the bucket and then kicking it out from under themselves... Hence the term - He kicked the Bucket. (sorry, couldnt resist telling it given the picture)
...great, as if this pic was creepy enough. Now I can't stop imagining a guy hanging by his neck just out of the frame. Wonderful.
nevermind the bucket, look at that bath type thingie!!!!!!!!! that is petrifying! (yes, i realise i have somekind of bath/loo/old tile phobia)!
didn't think we could get though this with out a "kick the bucket" comment. thank you silkster40z for takin' the high road with it
