Disarray

Mostly everything was tipped over and thrown around.

Pretty obvious that vandals had their "fun" in here.
I like your lighting, however.
They left the curtains up! Very nice.
Look at how horrible the condition the walls are in.
It looks like the entire place has had seen it's share of water. This is a good shot, though. It's very hard to make random trash seem beautiful.
looks like a kitchen
poor place was caught in a mosh. reminds me of an old episode of 21 jump street where this high school kid trashes his place in his guilt over being hired for murder all to the tune of 'institutionalized" by suicidal tendencies (first album, of course).

LOL, i have a "soundtrack" in mind for every picture and if i can't think of one, i create it. thanks for the inspiration, motts and crew.

-note- there are some instances where silence is not necessarily the absence of music. hmm.
well, it looks like a tornado hit, I don't see how this could've happened if it was abandoned for awhile... coulda just been windy storm too, but yeah.
damn vandels:(
I actually live in the neighborhood right next to Paul Dever. Kids have been vandalizing that place for years - obvisouly, from the looks of the pictures. It's just really upsetting to me that all of those records were left out. When I was in high school a girl brought in an old patient file and was showing it all of her friends. The patient was a young girl that had ran away from the facility. She thought it was sooo funny (but not to the rest of us it isn't) Also, on a different note, a movie was just filmed there over the summer, I think it's starring Bruce Willis? But anyways....
Lindsey,

You're right. (the movie thing)
so what was the name of the movie?????
The name of the movie was
SURROGATES starring Bruce Willis, & Vhing Rhyames.
My friends and I went to the Paul Dever School about 5 years ago... There were still needled all over the tables, water in the bath tubs and much more... There were also 3 little houses on the road that were abandoned with the doors left wide open. They also had tables with needles on them and a bunch of other weird stuff.... My brother said that he saw a wheel chair rolling across the street late one night there too... My uncle actually went to school there when he was younger a long long time ago. My boyfriends grandmother worked as a nurse there too

I wish I could go there to take some pictures like you have. Your work is amazing!!!! I have a site its called MomentsExposedPhotography.com. I inspire to take pictures as great as you do one day =)
