The Jars

The Jars

These were labeled as some kind of cleaning soap, but they looked a lot like liquid fat... wait, soap is made of fat, so I suppose it makes sense!

The black item in the center of the autopsy table is a body block - a wood or (in this case) rubber brick that is placed under the lower back, causing the torso to thrust outward and the arms to fall to the sides, making it an optimal position for the Y-incision into the chest and abdomen. They can also be used at the head or neck area to hold it in place.

I just can't get over these autopsy table shots, they are amazing. Just simply wonderful.
please say you used gloves. i will from now on.....
That makes sense. I thought of fight club when i saw those jars!
It does look like jars of fat. It reminds me of coffee cans full of bacon fat. It's so much grosser when it's in clear jars. YUK!!!
ew
Not to disappoint anyone, but the block is placed under the head of the body to keep the head in alignment. This prevents the neck from pulling towards the back of the body during various stages of rigor.
DITTO! JILL B.
Those cabinets in the back look like they were emptied yesterday...
you thrust your torso out, you thrust your torso in, you thrust your torso out, and you shake it all around..and thats what its all about!
IM READY FOR DINNER
Me too Matt. Set that table for four, and I'll bring us some dates. What woman could resist a romantic candle lit dinner on an autopsy table?
I could resist dinner in there. That white stuff really looks nasty!
I wouldn't mind eating dinner here. Whatever is in those jars looks like butter.
fear factor comes to mind.... anyone who doesent finish their jar in the time alloted is disqualified
That table would be cold on a person's bare butt.. lol
Looks like embalming fluid on a embalming table.
Beautifull shot. This particular room seems to be in excellent condition. I agree with you at first sight I thought those jars were full of liquid fat.

Still, quite amazing to see it in such great conditions and not ruind by vandilism. (Sp?)
Dang...now that soap for the soap dispensers joke isn't so funny lol!

Oh well...I tried!

:D
