its got a real makeshift - basement look for a lab.
also looks like they used up left overs in various paint cans . very cool picture though.
And no grafitti, or vandalism!!
It kind of looks like the Science classroom that I just spent a whole semester in.
If that fume hood is the only hood in the room, I would guess that this was exclusively a chemistry lab. Fume hoods offer no protection from contamination for the lab worker or the biological specimen.
"THE HOOD" LOOKS EXACTALY LIKE THE ONE IN MY CHEM CLASS!
Whether it's vandals, the wrecking ball, or mother nature that destroys this place, you're looking at the last image in its pristine state.
i imagine there isnt any easy access to this place since everthing seem to be intact here..no vandalism or graffiti such a refreshing look at a room that looks like they just left it
good condition
Looks like my 8th grade science class room... >>
MR. WIZARDS WORLD
It is indeed beautiful, I love that "just left" appearance that is too often destroyed by mindless graffiti.
love the pink walls with the grey
This looks so much like my junior high home ec. room it's not even funny.
i had one of those fume chamber hood thingies in my chem classroom too
Hoods are also used in pharmacies for mixing toxic (chemotherapy type toxic) and other types of meds that shouldn't be exposed to the air or accidentally sniffed into one's nose. This is a cool shot of a nice lab area, for sure. My college's should've been this nice.
definitely a cool looking chem lab... and relatively new looking eyewash station
A hood can be used in pharmacies to mix IVs, not necessarily "toxic" chemicals. There are those to encourage air flow to preserve sterility, as well as those that are to keep things like chemo drugs away from the person preparing the IV. This one reminds me of one I used to prepare chemo drugs at a hospital pharmacy, but it's hard to tell exactly.
That grey color that the cabinets and drawers are painted must be a standard for most labs. We have a lab here at work that's for tobacco and paper moisture content checks and the cabinets are the same grey color!
The wall must have a standard color. like in our laboratory here....and also the cabinet.
there's PINK!!!!!!!OMG!!!!
Nice colors. Brings me back to 11th Grade Chemistry class (which I FAILED thank you very much!)...fascinating that it is in such a pristine state. :)
These labs must have been mass produced because the one in the old Cape Canaveral Air Force Station Dispensary looked just like this!
