Another swell slab tub! ;-)
Mr. Motts,
What is with the shadow to te right of the shot?
Probably me trying to light the shot... damn wide angle lenses.
that is the most intersting bath tub ive ever seen.
I have a picture like that on my page, those were a popular model...hehe
I think this might be a pee trough! We had them at my summer camp.
No, really and truly these are slab tubs.
If it was a pee trough, why would it have hot water?
Ok if thats a 8 inch deep tub arent u freezing ur ass off!!
Dude, if that was a pee trough.......just...........eeeeeewwwwwwww
It was a slab tub, used to bath pacients that would be hard to lift in and out of a regular tub. These style of tubs are also popular with places that groom dogs. Really you people need to get out more. At least no one suggested it was morge equipment this time...
Ive worked in a hospital for fifteen years and I have never come across a tub like this. I dont think people *need to get out more* I think its just that they have never had a chance to come across these types of things. Especially if they have never been in patient care or any kind of health care. just my two cents worth.
as a mother of 2, i would hate for my kids to have been someplace like this! ugh
People actually used to have to bathe in these...hopfully nat when it was in this condition...
Good thing TB isn't the problem it used to be....can you imagine being sick with it and being shut away in a place like this?
Iv'e washed patients in these recently, except they were metal. They wre adult cerebral palsy patients who were contracted enough in the foetal position to be lifted up like babies.

One would hope there would have been a changing/clothing bench nearby.
I've seen these in pictures...used mainly for people who are basically immobile and cannot flip themselves out of it. It provides wonderful access. But I have to admit, weird hospital lavatory pieces really freak me out....
It looks like it would be great for washing small children in with the hose. I need one.
My mind is in the 'gutter' on this one, I can find a use having nothing to do Medicine or death or immobility (Except by the willing participant ;-) ) It all becomes sensual anatomical exploration of your partner.

That's just me.
Think Happy thoughts...like soap dispensers. :-)
Gross Jack! I would never get on one so my body could be explored by my partner!!! Nope it would never happen
I realize Jack beat me to it, but I too noticed the absence of soap dispensers...
