Those are really fun to throw because they make a loud pop noise and "explode". Of course wearing goggles is a good idea.

It's a really, really, REALLY bad idea to ever break a fluorescent bulb, and large amounts are even worse. This is because of the amount of mercury in each bulb, which is extremely hazardous.
