The lighting is so rich. It really makes the colors in this photo pop.
What are the white cabinet looking doors on the wall? Are they cabinets, or windows through the wall? Or nothing but decor?
It appears to be an old cork board for posting memo's upon.
Mr.Motts, am I correct?
I love all of your work, but I never comment, otherwise I'd be doing so on every photo lol.

But there's something incredibly.. eerie about the open door at the very end of the hall. The lighting almost makes me uneasy.
Is it just me? Or if you look ALL the way down the hall, to where the door is open, it looks like a girl in a white dress is standing with one hand on her hip.
Ah, we of rich imaginations. Indeed it "appears" to be an apparition. Alas, there is probably a perfectly good explanation about what it really is and not what we want it to be. (otherwise, we'd run into walls from looking over our shoulders all the time)
AHHH! IT'S THE CHICK FROM THE RING!!
X.x
On an extreme close up it looks like it is just a combination of the light and the peeling paint.
Those small doors mystifies me. Why were they there for? It looks similar to a laundry shute! Maybe this is a patient shute, they would slide the unruly patient down the shute and into a padded room...now that would seem like balls of fun! Slip sliding away!
Wow, thats all I have to say to describe this 'wow' picture
Since this was a TB hospital and not a mental hospital, I'm guessing that maybe those white doors were to allow cross ventilation into the patient rooms from the window on the opposite wall?
Oh my land, pardon me so much as I thought I was inside a mental institution. I said I was lousy at reading,, must be true. Gee, makes me feel like a horse's patoot.
I guess all my comments are off kilter, and many pardons. Just ignore ongoing comments on this site from me as I thought I was touring a mental facility.
I went back and read the intro and Mott did say it was converted into a mental facility later and I guess that is where I thought it was a mental facility. Oopsy on me!
dont know man this hallways seems to me that even when the hospital was open would have still been a little freaky to walk down. one of those hallways you kind of do the runwalk thing
Haunting, absolutely haunting.
There's that panel again.
I keep thiking its' a dumb waiter!
