kind of makes me want to cough and sneeze at the same time....

Once again, TB hospital, not mental institution. Fresh air was the only cure they had before antibiotics.
"I really don't have much information about this particular hospital other than it was once a tuberculosis sanitarium, and then was converted into a psychiatric facility. The building seems to have been abandoned in the 1970's and left alone since."
Back in the 50's when my aunt had an arrested case of TB part of the treatment was to not drain the spagetti too thoroughly
