Passageway

Passageway

The walkway inside the "mountain" in the center of the lake... it looked like it was crumbling.

Woulda loved it as a kid . . .
These shots in B&W are totally awesome!I love the way they tend to show a sense of mystery and daring to anyone who wishes to enter-at their own risk! They are simply beautiful!
Any spiders "hanging around" in there, Motts? You'd have to push me...HARD...to get me to walk through there!
I would love to get a chance to walk thru this path once more.
This shot is a once in a lifetime finale!Seeing it from Jilly's on the hill, you can see how far the mountain has gotten to crumbling! But how wild it looks in this photo!
Stayed in this corridor for a LONG time
awesome
I was at this spot today... just after the walkway, the floor is no longer there.. my friend had to climb to get over there (dangerous, I know)... so sad...
is this the walk up to the sliding board?
This shot reminds me of the climactic sewer sequence of the 1949 film The Third Man.
Went up on this concrete mountain a few years ago. Tried to go down the slid but you could see straight through to the water. Very scary
I don't think I ever ran faster as a child than when in these tunnels. I couldn't wait to go down the slide "one more time" before going home.
This photo reminds me of when I used to work underground as a miner. The days of old & the days gone by. Very awsome !!
deja vu
I wonder if kids used to hide in there so that they did not have to leave.
This photo reminds me of the first world war. I can imagine a Prussian officer blowing a whistle to announce a coming bombardment.
